Freesat 4K 1TB Box - Signal issues on some channels

    Hi All,

I installed a new Freesat 4K box, and all channels seem to be fine. The Signal Strength & Quality both look good, but I'm missing some channels, mainly the ones listed below:

    More4, More4 +1, E4, E4 +1, E4 Extra, Film4, Film4 +1, Seven

I also installed a new Wideband LNB (Labgear Hybrid LNB) on an existing Sky Dish, and I set the LNB skew to -18 degrees based on my location in the LNB manual.

I have rescanned the box a few times now, but I’m still experiencing the same issue, so I’m trying to figure out what could be causing this.

I had the same issue with the previous old SKY LNB (the same channels were missing), so I decided to buy a new wideband LNB to see if that fixed the problem and to take advantage of being able to record 3 programs at once and watch a 4th! When I installed the new LNB, the channels did come in briefly but were a little pixellated and eventually disappeared.

If I got the LNB skew incorrect, would I have an issue like this? The dish seemed to be solid and fixed in position, so I’m not sure if it’s misaligned, but I guess I would have issues with more channels, and the signal strength and quality wouldn’t be so good (approximately 90% for both).

I reterminated the cable going into the box, and the connection on the LNB all seem fine. However, I was thinking—could the issue be with the coax cable? I’m not sure what RG grade of cable it is, but it’s a twin cable that’s probably over 10 years old and seems very skinny compared to other coax cables I’ve seen before.

Any pointers or help would be appreciated!
