Galway will be fairly happy with that given a much less experienced team picked. Some pretty impressive younger players.

Breeezy, we are talking about the poor ref. Nothing to do with Tipp. They just happen to be benefitting from bad decisions.

Christ almighty first game of the year and the whinging about the ref starts. Some amount of gaa supporters just cannot see how their team could ever commit a foul.

Anyway I enjoyed that match. Fair play to both teams. Galway should be encouraged with the likes of Rabbitte, Burke Fleming and trayers. Jake Morris different class for tipp.

They might as well just get rid of the handpass rule and allow players to throw the ball at this stage. At least 1 throw of the ball leading to Tipperary goal and Marty Morrissey and Michael Duignan didn't even comment on it when the replay was shown.

It remains to be seen if they'll be good enough, but the "moving on" of the older lads should have happened before now - a few years ago, tbh.

But there wasn't anything to take their place (or maybe more accurately, imo) they weren't given the chance because of the 2017 crew were blocking them.

For all the talk, locally, about Aaron Niland, I think Joe Rabitte's young lad might turn out to be the best of them. But they're both very young - only 19.
