That's certainly a bit odd if nothing else. Was that from a new account? Have you revealed your surname on here that they may legitimately know it? We do get all sorts of genealogical and historical searches for past acquaintances, family etc, so it's entirely possible it's legit.

Agreed, the wording sounds like the kind of awkward text used in scam attempts. I'll get an admin to have a look, they may need you to send a copy of the PM to them.
