Hi domeld, can you please let us know what the outcome was? I am going for solar and thinking of putting it in the inverter in the attic but if it is noisy I may have second thoughts.

The main reason I am thinking of going with the inverter in the attic is that having it outside could get a bit messy with wiring as I have a lean to at the side of the house. So a related question does anyone know if external wiring down the wall of the house is required if the inverter is in the attic or would all wiring from there stay internal?

I have 2 Huawei inverters and there is no noise. They don't have a fan, just a large heatsink. But don't go for them as you are locked into buying their very expensive battery when you want one.

There is no outcome, those inverters making some nose (probably a coli when certain current is flowing through them.
Inverter was working flowless till last week - changed to new LBO inverter (nice space for fan on the back of heatsink).

I would avoid to install anything in the attic. First fire hazard (specially when you are going to install battery in the future). Second, inverter is very hot when is working on 100% capacity (with fans installed below it was constantly on high 40 on temp probe for me).
I saw installations with internal and external wiring to the attic, i dont think so there is any regulations but it always must be approved by wife ;)
