Hello everyone. I need help finding more information and photos of a silo at the Cork docklands called the ADM Arkady silo, built in 1975 and opened on the 5th of July 1976. So please, if you have any information or photos of the silo, especially old ones, then send them to me.

You might want to clarify which one. Until 10-15 years ago there were four major grain silos on Kennedy Quay. Now there’s only one left. Below are Google Street View images in 2009 and 2024 from roughly the same position.

The R&H Hall ones were much older - dated from the mid 1930s.

I've already searched all the newspapers for information.

Have you tried contacting Cllr Kieran McCarthy, via his website corkheritage.ie.? He has a great knowledge of local heritage and has even done a South Docks history trail.

All I can recall (or think I can recall - I was in primary school at the time) is my late father pointing out the continuous pour construction

Billy Healy was the silo manager there and whilst retired, still has a Linkedin profile - worth a shout if you havent already

I just found two new photos of the silo being built in the newspaper, but I can not release them due to copyright.
