CNN saying Trump says he will not use force to take Greenland. But that he wants ownership and title of Greenland.

Trump now sitting down to talk for a discussion. First question is about the economy.

buttering up the audience, telling them that they are great leaders and 50 applicants for every ticket

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,301 ✭✭✭Mike Murdock

He got a lot of polite applause.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,132 ✭✭✭Lavinia

well end of it now, not much of a clap, but no wished booing either 😶

This once again proves he thinks asylum seekers come from mental asylums.

Muted enough clapping from an audience of a thousand was it? Few gimps stood too

It was fairly muted tbf. The US has it's own delegation there and there are countries that are in favour of the spheres of influence world that he wants

Oh god this isn't going to be a q&a, he's just not going to shut up again.

    What was the question asked????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 975 ✭✭✭BettyS

He is saying that the US economy was wonderful in his first 3 years until the pandemic. All of this is verifiably incorrect and people don’t challenge him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,900 ✭✭✭Comhrá

The applause was fairly polite and muted in fairness. No shouts for an encore though.

I’m half listening. How did he go from talking about “the Covid” to then mentioning Scottish footballers being sh1te? 😂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 975 ✭✭✭BettyS

he is saying that the US stock market was higher than when Covid happened

He's saying what a great job he did during COVID.

Didn't he constantly downplay it and say it would just go away?

i think the technical term is a smattering of applause.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 975 ✭✭✭BettyS

He said that they can stop wars if they are smart. But Covid and the ash-cloud are unavoidable and affect the economy

he is saying that Scott has been amazed at the numbers. Their economy will be nothing that they have seen before.

WWI was ended because of the Spanish flu

Walk out. **** him, he has no respect for anyone and doesn’t deserve any in return

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 975 ✭✭✭BettyS

They mentioned the US debt. Man interviewing him asked how to get out of this impasse. He said growth is the way out. They are cutting expenses. They will pay off debt. They will use the funds from the tariffs. Giving out about Switzerland and Minnesota. Saying that people entered Minnesota with no money in their account and left with hundreds of thousands of dollars. If they cut 50% of fraud, they could pay off the debt. He said that the protests are professional agitators

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,133 ✭✭✭keeponhurling

The question is whether he knows the inaccuracies, or if he actually believes it. Is he really that detached from reality?

e.g. NATO never helped the US, Biden "gave" $350bn to Ukraine.

    Simply incorrect.

He is saying how AI will result in huge investments in plants. Zuckerberg is going to build a plant for 50 billion. They are allowing them to build their own electric generators and that they can sell excess electricity back to the grid

    All clapping like happy seals.
