Quick one - anyone here done the Italian medical cert for UTMB races? Need cardiac stress test, spirometry, urine test + medical exam.

Based in Clare/Limerick area, trying to avoid multiple appointments or an excursion to Dublin if possible. What's the most efficient way to sort this?

    Thanks!

Get your local GP to complete and sign the standard form for international athletes.

Unfortunately I don't have a local GP (none taking on patients either it seems) so I have been using Doocter service but they said they would only sign it if I could get all the tests done.

In case anyone comes across this, I used a service called Fitcertify and they did the business, cert already accepted by UTMB.

    1. As a doctor and a runner, medical certs are ridiculous, in general.
    2. FitCertify does not do in-person appts so they can't do ECG or stress tests or even check your BP or listen to your heart or take bloods. If they are giving such certs, they are lying. They take your declaration that you are fit and give you a meaningless cert. If you're ok with that, then good luck to you.

I'll assume you said something both idiotic and obnoxious.
