Battery date?

could this be the date of the battery 4th Oct 2007 🤔? It’s a 2008 car and don’t think the battery was ever replaced but not sure 🫣

I changed the original on my 05 around 3 years ago, if a car is reliable and in everyday use there won't be much stress on a battery.

Vic, what is the make of battery? From that we can look up how that manufacturer date stamps their batteries.

No not really. Is there anything stamped into the top of the terminals. Some OEMs put a date there.

seems as there is a way in hell as after various checks it’s the original battery put in the car in 2007

Great to see the battery holding on so long. Reminds me of a Fiat we had that was on it's original 07 battery that lasted up til 24. Main thing is to not let the the car sit for too long and keep it topped up with decently long drives.

The battery is from 2017. Not 2007

But the other code on it includes a date code. Post #6 the part of the code once you know its Varta 789 is for 2007. 2017 has similar codes but no 789.

You have to hunt around for a listing of anything that old but there is no 789 code for 2017 but there is for 2007.

I also know from the OP sending me pics that the Battery also says "In case of any complaint please contact your vehicle retailer" and I've never had replacement battery say that.
