I wasn't sure where this query might be best, so went for a new thread…. hopefully someone can help!

I closed my VF account in December and switched to Clear Mobile - no problems there.

Got a final bill a while back from VF - fine.

The other day I got another email about a final bill, and this one says that my account is in credit to the tune of €55.53. I presume there was an element of pre-payment on my account (I was on bill pay for donkey's years with them)

I have gone around and around in circles trying to get in touch with VF to ask how I can reclaim this money - but when I ring 1907,because the account is closed it won't recognise my number - when I try the chatbot, the same thing happens and I get redirected to the Clear Mobile website. Their chat won't open for me - I know I'll eventually get through there but I don't expect them to be able to help with a VF account issue.

Has anyone who has done this previously any advice on how I might get in touch with an actual human in VF to try and get my money back?

    thank you!
as I say I've been around in circles for the last hour trying to find an email address with no joy - they have a message on Twitter that they're no longer responding to queries, try Facebook - tried that and I got an auto response saying "this isn't always monitored, try 1907 🙄

And lo, someone appeared on FB chat after all, eventually.

Refund allegedly will be in my account in a week. Said they'd pass on my outstandingly negative feedback to the appropriate department - ha! Much good that'll do.

Glad to be rid - for the money I've been paying for the last about 20 years, their service is an absolute disgrace.

At least if Clear's customer service is shoddy, I'm not paying a small fortune to them (and there's no evidence so far that it is).

I had this a couple of months ago. Logged into my Vodafone with the username they sent when I closed the account, was refunded to my payment card a couple of days later.
