That was an excellent total clearance of 135 by Robertson. He now leads 4-2. Every match so far in this tournament has finished 6-2, it's still on to continue that trend.

Wakelin is woeful, missing pots by 2 inches, the 6-2 is looking very likely

Think his head is kind of gone

    Great snooker there though

Seems to have suddenly found his cueing again early in this frame.... Until I jinxed him at 33

    8 matches.

    8 6-2 results

    And so it is, 6-2.

All 8 matches in the opening round have finished on this scoreline. Robertson played really well, Wakelin didn't offer any real challenge. 3 centuries from Neil and he has the highest pot success of any player thus far, 96+%.

I was thinking in the last round a few people might have just randomly done accumulators with 6-2 for a euro or two.

It has been a decent tournament so far I think. Hard to call the overall winner.

You probably had a better view at Goffs than on the telly, alright. Thankfully there was Aonghus McAnally on commentary.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

3-3 in a match at last. John Higgins doing his usual shrewd stuff v Zhao.

The 3 matches left in the QF are between 7/2-19/5 for a 6-2 either way in odds checker.

Assuming the first round odds where the same an accumulator on would be (7/2)^8 = 22518/1

If only I had biff's almanac

That's a sickening fluke for Zhao by John on the red. He's going to win this frame now to make it 5-5.

    Decider!

Unbelievable fluke from Higgins to get in for 5-5.

    He's had a couple.

John breaks down on 34. I'm glad Zhao is getting a chance, it's the least he deserves after the outrageous fluke in the last frame, and he's due some luck.

But Stephen Hendry said before Zhao broke off, that he's giving John a shot at a red on break off all match, and so it continued.

And Higgins wins it. With a huge slice of luck. Great match.

Zhao put the boat out too much on that last red. Hit too hard.

    Incredible.

Rob Walker. What an overly enthusiastic pain in the arse.

John's first words in his post match interview: "I was so lucky!"

    You don't say?

Edit: John reiterates again in the BBC studio with his first words: "I don't know what to say, I was so lucky."

Zhao Hammered a long blue in another frame as well, must have started tightening up

True. But John got away with that escape on the last red. If that red had rolled a little further forward, I think Zhao would have got it. Had John hit the red half ball, who knows where it would have gone.

    Going back for seconds

The initial bear hug had higgins looking like a sobbing old drunk down the pub.he seemed to give walker a bit of a stare alright

    Back to 6-2 again.

    Normal service has resumed

We had all 6-2's apart from Higgins and Zhao going the distance yesterday, 6-5.

So then today we've had the exact opposite of going the distance. A 6-0 whitewash by Wu of Xiao. I put on the snooker a little after 3 to find the match already over.

Just when you thought Neil couldn't play any worse. That was a shocking attempt of trying to play a snooker on the yellow, he didn't hit it and left a free ball. Wilson back in as a result and could make it 4-0.

    Jaysus the pair of em!!

They'll both be well glad of the mid session interval!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,028 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

4-4 now. Robertson with back to back centuries. You wouldn't have given Neil any chance when he was 3-1 down at the mid-session interval. And it could easily have been 4-0 at that point, with Robertson barely stringing 4 or 5 pots together. I hope he goes on to win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,028 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

    Robertson 5-4 up.

Unbelievable red by Kyren after Neil was unlucky to be snookered on the red after potting the black
