Completely agree with the overall point but no law enforcement anywhere shoots to injure. They shoot to neutralise the threat which is functionally no different to shooting to kill.

He obviously shouldn't have shot at all.

With how there so called justice system operates nowadays with the killer being whisked away immediately afterwards still carrying the murder weapon as far as I could see and medical assistance being denied to the victim I could not see there being any other outcome than the FBI denying any access to state authorities. These ICE scumbags may be an ill trained, ill disciplined collection of louts but they have been well versed in what to do when they murder someone on how to get away with it.

The state, from what their on investigative branch has said do not appear to believe they could bring a case against this murderer without having access to all the evidence, and even when this scumbag walks away scot free, which now looks inevitable, as the supposed victim the state could perhaps take a case against him, but it would make no difference. By then any evidence contrary to him being the victim will have been "lost" or sanitised.

(I know that wasn't directed at me btw)

I have listed my criticisms of Biden(both of them), and the Dems in general on this thread, but what you just said is where the "It's the Dems fault" argument falls down. The electorate dind't really know Kamala Harris/ Didn't know what kind of President she would be / She's too weak / She won't stand up to Putin/Netanyahu etc etc. They'd had 4 years of DJT already. They knew what they were getting.

If Kamala Harris spent the 4 years of her term in office sat in the Oval Office laughing and watching Oprah, the US and many other countries would be better off than they are now.

I think we can point fingers at Trump and his administration. They are the ones fully responsible for the state of things right now.

I think your last sentence should worry you, but I think you’re a Trump follower…so that might actually sit well with you.

what’s a Garda checkpoint got to do with this? When was the last time a garda killed somebody at a traffic stop? When’s the last time the gardai dragged people off the streets and threw them in cells for months on end for no apparent reason? You’re talking absolute nonsense.

    The former.

Equally problematic are the warrants, or lack of.

How anyone can defend ICE is beyond me

Surely only a matter of time before people over there will have to start wearing badges to identify their social status. Maybe they could use coloured triangles?

If I wanted to tamper with the evidence because I would be worried that the findings might implicate me or a friend of mine or one of my team mates and on the assumption that one of the shots went through the windscreen and the shot was fired while the shooter was standing at the side of the vehicle as against the front of it , the trajectory of the bullet could be deciphered from the shape of the hole and therefor indicate if the ‘windscreen’ shot was fired from the front of the car or from the side of it.
The reason for the above presentation is because the shooter could argue that he wanted to ‘disable’ the driver before she knocked him down. The trajectory/shape of bullet holes should prove here the shooter was standing when he fired the shots.

So because of the above I would ‘ reshape ‘ the bullet hole in the wind screen in one existed

If siding with law enforcement makes me a psycho then I'm fine with that.

And as we all know, law enforcement is 100% infallible.

Particularly when it comes to shooting unarmed civilian mothers point blank in the face.

You think law enforcement should be able to break their own rules? DHS policy is that you don't shoot in such a scenario. So he broke the established rules and now somebody is dead. But apparently you're good with law enforcement facing no oversight...

It's pretty easy to see how people would have justified the gestapo or black and tans back in the day based on responses like yours.

Funny how the same people fulminate against immigrants under the premise of protecting native people but then come out with stuff like this.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

There's literally video footage of the murder. What more evidence could they possibly need?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,773 ✭✭✭fly_agaric

ha, should we should follow the US "example" as regards policing so?

    Perhaps for Galway?

Maybe we need some robocopish US style judge-jury-executioner "law enforcement" there (think of the savings to the taxpayer if they are all one job!).

You have 20 seconds to comply!

Indeed he did with many of those voters in the short time since expressing buyer remorse in that they did not believe he really meant to go through with what he said or that they believed it would not affect them as it has even though they were well warned.

Now with not only have his ramblings and actions become more deranged, but also that of his Quisling VP and the rest of his administration for all to see it is certainly not doing his polling numbers much good, which would strongly suggest imo that for significant numbers that buyers regret is genuine.

No empathy towards immigrants. No empathy towards a mother of three killed by ICE. Yep, that tracks - psychopathic.

Meanwhile this has distracted very efficiently from the fact that Trump announced that the spending on military will go up this year to $1.5T - one and a half trillion dollars - up from under 1T.

    image.png

I wonder why he feels he needs a 'Dream Military', and why he things times are 'troubled and dangerous'. I wonder who could have caused times to be troubled and dangerous?

Edit: I could well be wrong, but that doesn't entirely sound like his style, no chance someone else could be running the show?

I saw someone saying yesterday that Trump sees himself as the 'President of MAGA' not as President of the US. Anyone who is outside the cult is potentially an enemy, be they a Democrat, left wing, from a migrant background or a minority group etc, anyone who doesn't support Trump basically.

We're seeing this playing out on social media. Even white US citizens are fair game for the MAGA cult members to be gunned down in the street - they 'had it coming' and so on.

the ONLY time that a garda checkpoint was not ‘respected’ , from memory and I read the paper and follow the news every day, was when the garda got ‘wind of the word’ that a certain IRA gun totter - D O’H from memory- was on the road I think somewhere in south Kilkenny and set up a road block. The individual. ‘ crashed through the road block . And with good communication he was captured further ‘ down the road when his car was disabled by spikes , I think, ans as far as I can recall a few shots were exchanged. . The army might have been involved given the circumstances

He would look foolish if the US didn't also increase their defense spending to 5% of GDP after berating other NATO countries.

Then again that goal is to reach the 5% over a number of years not within 1 year.

Good news though, he says it will be paid by tariffs, the same tariff revenue he's bailing out the farmers and promises of zero income tax and cheques to people. Christ his cult really believe anything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,965 ✭✭✭✭charlie14

Personally I believe the state authority should go ahead and charge him now with murder based on the video evidence.

Whether that would be enough to get a conviction or not I would have my doubts, but at the very least the publicity around the trial would put a major spook in the works of what now looks like a federal snow job to make the victim look the guilty party.

Yep. For years, they were harping on about immigrants' supposed misogyny and now look at what they're supporting. It'd be disturbing if it wasn't so tediously predictable.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
