I currently have SkyQ and two SkyQ mini boxes and I’m thinking of replacing them with Freesat and possibly Saorview. Is there a drop in solution for this setup or do I need to install three separate boxes?

It will depend on how clued up you are and the TV's at each location. If each TV has a saorview tuner then that is sorted. Here is the basic

    1. Change Lnb to a 4 output universal one. SKY Q lnb is wideband. Have 4 cables from lnb , 2 to main tv and 1 each to other TV.
    2. Buy 3 sat boxes, one with 2 tuners and the other 2 with 1 tuner. If you have good BB you can link these boxes to main box and watch recordings. If you get dedicated freesat boxes you cant link them,
    3. Or have the same as 2 but each box will have a saorview tuner so you will have to split aerial.
    4. If you have 2 firesticks you can add an app that will allow access to main sat box but now it gets techie and …

As an aside I am currently configuring an 32" LG TV for an elderly friend, it cost 229 but it has a FREESAT sat tuner and saorview, amazon, netflix, rakuten, CH5, CH4, RTE player and its bloody good for the money. And it can record. I set it up as UK and can add BBC, ITVX but it does NOW, APPLE as well. I am pretty amazed.
