Has anyone here been to Bhutan and Nepal?

I'm thinking of going there later this year and would appreciates some feedback on what it is like and whether Bhutan is worth the extra expense over Nepal.

Also some feedback on the food etc would be appreciated.

We'll take it from there - thanks!

I was in Nepal in May 2013, few days in Kathmandu and then trekking in Gokyo lakes area in the Himalaya. If you are into trekking and mountains, you could well enjoy it, I did, even the tough parts!

I was in Nepal in 2007, incredible experience. Kathmandu is a crazy city, brimming with life, traffic, markets, temples, hustle and bustle. A really cultural eye opener. That was nearly 20 years ago so I don't know if it has changed much, obviously they had a big earthquake since and parts would have been rebuilt.

We flew to Lukla in the Himalayas and trekked up to Everest base camp, a well worn path but the beauty of the mountains will take your breath away.

Buthan is high on my list to visit. I believe it is not as used to tourism as Nepal and harder to get a visa, but meant to be a stunning country. And if legend is to be believed they have the Yeti!
