Extendable gates

Bought 4 of them from Condon engineering this year. Bought through Clonroche agri build, Wally Creane was sound as a pound to deal with. Can't remember price as they were part of an overall farm fit out. I'll look it up. I know Tirlan farm life stores also stock Condon gear.

gibneys also do some aswell and any merchant that’s stocks ordinary gibney gates will be able to order them in for you. Out of interest to lads that may have both which would you consider the better Teemore or Condron?

In stock and I saw a few in stock in Tirlan on Ballycanew as well last week

I've a few condons extendable gates that I got from Coyles in Athlone. Their the local agent for them. Very good strong gates

The Condon ones here have for 5+ years anyhow. Can't say longer than that.

If you make an extendable gate, is it better to have the main gate box section and the extending part pipe to reduce the contact area between each section?

In this instance, I want it to close over two openings so this one needs to be extendable. Can't just use the longer length either.

That's what I was hoping with pipe inside box.

Does anything stop the extending part from being fully pulled out?

@Grueller Aligns with my thoughts and plans. I seen some required a bolt to be tightened, but the day you need it is the day you've no spanner, so I was going with those pins too.

There are small bolts on each gate bar for tightening into the insert

Everything in the yard from condons we’ve gotten off him. He’s selling down as far as cork into o Donovan country

There’s another local supplier of condons that would have 10% extra added onto there prices for condons. Worth while proving different places
