This constant back and forth between James and Haley over who gets the kid on Christmas day is getting boring at this stage.

At this point Babs has to be stirring shite on purpose with the way she's going around casually mentioning half truths to the neighbours.

Poor Darren, I reckon he's more likely to end up with Cranky Pete as his step granddad than have Sean as his step dad.

Surprised they didn't use the Darren story to promote the Eircode ( or some "Pick up and Collect" at your local LIDL store)

Hayley is some dose. She's absolutely abnoxious to pretty much everybody in her orbit

FC missed a trick in not having Ger say Hayley was 7lb12oz! She probably wouldn't have been able to say it with a straight face anyway.

Who builds a cot in the sitting room? Would it not have made more sense to build it in the room the child sleeps in? Good luck bringing it up the stairs!

Has Blabbermouth Babs told the kids at the grotto that Santa isn't real yet?

Are the Raffertys the go to family for Christmas storylines? Think this the third year in a row that they've featured heavily for Christmas.

That thing with Nikki telling Kim she did her best and could keep the locket was actually gas.

Hayley and James were awful proud of that cot considering there was still several planks of wood left over. I suppose it makes sense that they struggled to build a cot considering they spent a million euro plus on a construction company and it went bust a week or two later

Where was tommy on christmas day?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,635 ✭✭✭✭Strazdas

He's supposed to be in a 'relationship' with Emma, which I'm not buying for a moment. Looks like they randomly threw two middle aged characters together.

Tommy is supposed to be in a relationship with Emma yet Rafferty seems to be in every scene with her.

Why did they have Santa still in the community centre on Christmas day. Nobody visits santy on christmas day - writers santy brings the presents on christmas eve/christmas morning - no point a kid telling him what they want on christmas day. Every year the writers throw in something which stretches reality. At least now we will have a break from the James/Hayley saga hopefully

It was the second year running the Community Centre was open on Christmas Day and apparently the centre has a kitchen for some unknown reason (why would a community centre be regularly cooking and serving food to people who use it?).

It wasn't that bad an episode overall though - I thought the scenes between Paul and Steo were pretty good.

In real life rafferty would have slagged the absolute bejaysus out of James for wearing pj's

And here we go again James and Hayley are back together.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,458 ✭✭✭threetrees

I also questioned having Santa in the grotto on Christmas Day. That's too late!

I thought Sean's friend talk with Nikki's kids was gorgeous.

Deals being made and wads of cash exchanged for boxes of wine in broad daylight - what could possibly go wrong?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,458 ✭✭✭threetrees

I wouldn't have thought Emma was religious and if she was, definitely not a Catholic who knows how to contact the priest of the parish.

    "Why don't ya ask Greg?"😀😀

the James/Hayley storyline is rinse and repeat of Jess/Steo; they get back together after the baby is born and it’s obvious it will fall apart. Wierd the way they have no friends or siblings to act as ‘guide parents’; like who chooses the kids own granny/grandad…

Steo looks like he has dyed his hair. Greg is some muppett, has put on a good bit of weight too.

Must say Nikki is growing on me, not a bad actor/ character. No sign of Juliet on Xmas day !

The Collinses and Raffertys are two dysfunctional families, so James and Hayley as a toxic couple are a perfect match.

Would JJ really be horrified to learn that Steo had stolen some wine with Paul? He's involved in criminal activity with Paul himself and knows he's a crook (!).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 248 ✭✭tradfan1

James and Hayley hate each other one day and love each other the next - convenient for the storyline I suppose…

Fair City,Where the whole family goes shopping together - at least three times a day.WTF🤔🤔🤔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,862 ✭✭✭Curlysue76

Hayley saying she’s not the person she was before the baby arrived, is that meant to mean she’s a better version of herself now? Not a chance, she’s still as vindictive and bitchy as ever.

I thought the Mullens Christmas party was fairly rubbish.

It was basically themselves and Carol/JJ was only there because of Lorcan.

When Babs gets stationed in Carrigstown she's going to be insufferable.
