La Rochelle have a huge injury list right now. Missing at least a dozen players, half of whom would be regular starters. But they're having a poor enough season overall, currently in 10th position in the Top 14. They were underwhelming last season too.

O'Gara won't get sacked. He's their most successful head coach ever and the two Champions Cup victories will always buy him time. But if they don't pick up form soon I could see a mutual termination jobby in the summer.

Not sure could you class this game as make or break and not many T14 teams would fancy their chances away to Toulouse.

Only 3 points separate 4th from 11th but the issue for those down the table is picking up a BP in the T14 is far more difficult than it is in the URC

There is a possibility that Toulouse could score 1000 points in the Top 14 this season. Halfway through the season and they've scored 532.

They came close last year with 891 but had only got 385 at the halfway stage.

ROG hung around too long at LaR, I suppose he thought he’d win the T14 with them but now it’s just a middling team in decline. There was a minute when he was destined to become an international coach at the top level but with his disciplinary history and his record post LAR’s successes it all may have passed him by.

TBF to the guy he hung in there at the height of his success when he was being linked with jobs all over the place. He was up front about wanting to honor his 5 year deal. Maybe he relishes the idea of building the team back up again. He does look to have a bit of work to do though, I'd imagine he will move on at the end of this contract.

It was a heavily rotated Toulouse side, but still one that you'd expect to brush aside the home team.

A pretty bizarre development in the Top14 this weekend - where all of the fixtures have lined up in a way that has 1st v 2nd, 3rd v 4th, 5th v 6th etc all the way down.

bizzare end to the Pau V Clermont game

It was 16-16, Pau Score a try with 2min to go to take the lead. They try to run down the clock in their 22 after the restart. The 10 kicks it out with 5sec to go. 5m lineout to Clermont.

Who then throw it in not straight. Scrum to Pau. After a reset the scrum half flings it dead over the dead ball line trying to pass it to the 10.

Ref blows it up.

Pretty shocking news that Gael Drean - a 25-year-old - will have to undergo heart surgery for a genetic condition, which is going to keep him out for months at a minimum.

He had just made his French debut in the 6N, and has had an absolutely electric season, scoring 19 tries in 23 games across all competitions.
