Is this the same as removing childrens paintings from a hospital, seems some people are offended by everything except the slaughter of innocent children.

That poster certainly have a history around these threads, and the language being used by her/him. Found easy just to put them on ignore list and see much less of the hysterical nonsense.

Actually it's a first time I came across term Zio. So went to look it up.

And I believe that poster's history shows that it absolutely is not used in any way as a slur.

Of course it does show that's being used as a slur. To me anyway. And of course we don't have to agree on that. I just found it incredibly stupid when people start use words they don't fully understand or just try to mock something in a way to show themselves and their superiority over someone they disagree with. I've defo been guilty of that in past too and trying my best to avoid that route in posting, because it's just pointless.

Hit the switch to keep the lights on.

Presumably both the CST and the Israeli embassy in London will now direct their efforts to the execution of the War Crimes arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant and their extradition to The Hague.

"In response to the decision, the Community Security Trust (CST), a charity which provides protection for Jewish communities in the UK, told the Press Association: "It is incredibly disappointing that the police and CPS have decided not to charge in this case, particularly when police forces in London and Manchester are adopting a stronger approach to tackling hateful rhetoric.

"It sends completely the wrong message at the worst possible time."

In a post on X, the embassy of Israel in London also criticised the decision by Avon and Somerset Police.

It said: "It is deeply disappointing that vile calls for violence, repeated openly and without remorse, continue to fall on deaf ears. Especially in the wake of the terror attacks in Manchester and Bondi, when will such calls finally be recognised for what they are: a real and dangerous instigator of bloodshed?""

The claims that the 'Death to the IDF' chants were anti-Semitic are nonsensical. There also seems to be an attempt here by the extremists who support Israel to link all Jewish people throughout the world to the IDF, as being one and the same thing.

and claim it is anti-semitic to condemn the IDF when in fact they are falling for the anti-semitic definition they hold dear. It just proves that anti-semitic accusations are most likely fictitious and can be safely ignored.

the embassy of Israel in London also….

…stated that Israel should be allowed to slaughter children without criticism and called for those who are concerned about the violence inflicted on innocents to be villified and jailed.

If the voting has started, I want to nominate Israel as the number one scumbags of 2025. This could be three wins in a row for them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,175 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

No vote needed, they are already the champions in that category and have been for decades now

Land grab by Israel and then claim international criticism is anti semitism

    Always the victims

The zionists are raping, murdering and stealing their way through Palestine, but yet it's "antisemitism" that we're supposed to be worried about.

Perfectly normal behaviour from the "only democracy in the Middle East".

Two fingers up to International Law, multiple condemnatory UN resolutions and ICJ directions. No wonder they are despised. World Pariah.

Interesting that Saar doesn't use the "antisemitic" card.

"Israel has reacted furiously to a condemnation by 14 countries including Ireland, France and Britain of its approval of new settlements in the occupied West Bank, calling the criticism discriminatory against Jews."

How mealy-mouthed a response can western countries make to ethnic cleansing and genocide which is as reprehensible as what the Nazis did. Only nine EU countries "condemned" the approval. There were much stronger responses to the discussions about kicking Israel out of Uefa and the Eurovision. We are ending 2025 with Israel still in the ascendancy but for Palestinians the only way is up out of the zionist evil.

“We, States of Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and the United Kingdom condemn the approval by the Israeli security cabinet of 19 new settlements in the occupied West Bank,” said a joint statement released by the French foreign ministry."

Very noticeable that nothing has been resolved re. Israel since the 'ceasefire' in Gaza. One imagines that many western governments privately know that the terrorist state are going to be an absolute nightmare to deal with going forward ; land grabs, settlers in the West Bank, attacks on neighbouring countries, cast iron refusal to recognise Palestine as a state etc.

From what I read, Turkey are leading the talks and it's very much leaning towards Palestinian control in Gaza even before Hamas are disarmed (which they have agreed to).

Some deft negotiations going on there which are currently sidelining Israel. And US is in agreement.

The final picture will be interesting to see. I'm guessing that if it's too much for the headbanger govt., Israel will recommence hostilities and further ramp up their campaigns in the other occupied territories and Lebanon/syria.

For sure, Israel is not leading the talks nor in control. And they are rapidly losing friends as reported yesterday. They must be apoplectic.

Further into the abyss of world Pariah.

I watched the RTE Christmas concert in Kilmainham last night. The Palestinian Banat al-Quds, the Daughters of Jerusalem, showed humility, courage and hope for the future. There was no belligerence or hostility toward Israel even though they had family and friends in Gaza. They just want peace and for everyone to live their lives.

Israelis could do with watching and learning from it.

They should turf out their warmongering govt. and consign them to the 9th circle of Hell.

I notice too that Yvette Cooper (UK Foreign Secretary) has twice heavily criticised the regime in the last 48 hours. Definite signs of patience wearing thin and awareness of just how belligerent and troublemaking the Israelis are.

saw that report of the reservist driving over the Palestinian.

Just when you thought they really couldn't go any lower, the certainly do surprise you.

Other news that I won't post today is tha Katz has confirmed settlers will be allowed to live in Gaza and Israel will never leave the Strip.

The plan to take over the West Bank is also ramping up.

Israel is definitely digging in and looks to be taking over everything.

Considering that you deny the Russian genocide in Ukraine, I assume you would be fine with genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Druze in Syria?

Glad the Muslim didn't appear to be seriously injured.

Of course, with clear footage of the incident, I'm sure Israeli Police are actively identifying the perpetrator and will shortly confirm they have arrested a suspect. Possibly.

And as the text around the video states, what would have happened if the roles were reversed? We've certainly seen the IDF launch multiple rocket attacks that have killed many innocent civilians in retaliation.

Is there a case before the ICJ for the Syria/Druze "genocide"?

And seriously, no-one except the most depraved would condone genocide, ethnic cleansing or any violence against innocents. There may be arguments about whether War Crimes or Crimes Against Humanity amount to Genocide. That has been discussed here at length since the start of the conflict.

But I do find the constant comparisons with other conflicts as really tiresome now. Not so much for the discourse but the fact they are only brought up to deflect or somehow justify Israel's well documented War Crimes. The Genocide case against Israel has been further supported this week. The evidence seems to be overwhelming enough that there is significant support for the SA case, including from Ireland. But you are also of course aware that Parties have a legal duty in that regard.

But what I find really remarkable is that you appear to be outraged at Russia and Syria yet simply silent about Israel. I just do not understand how you can hold that contrary position.

Israel outperforms all other pariah states.

    https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/israel-ranks-lowest-second-year-row-global-brand-index

Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Israelis are increasingly perceived abroad as persona non grata.

Since October 2023, Israeli forces have killed more than 72,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip Strip and the West Bank

Not only is global criticism of Israel on the rise, but more Gen Z respondents perceive Israel as "illegitimate" and "colonial", Israeli media reported.

    Dr. Ramzy Baroud

If Israel resumes the full, unrestrained intensity of this genocide, will we stop it? I fear the answer is no, because the world refuses to dismantle the circumstances that permitted this slaughter in the first place. Israeli officials never bothered to hide their intent. The systematic dehumanization of Palestinians was a primary export of Israeli media, even as Western corporate outlets worked tirelessly to sanitize this criminal discourse.

The record of intent is undeniable. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir openly championed the “encouragement of migration” and demanded that “not an ounce of humanitarian aid” reach Gaza. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich argued that the starvation of two million people could be “just and moral” in the pursuit of military aims. From the halls of the Knesset to the pop charts, the refrain was the same: “erase Gaza,” “leave no one there.” When military leaders refer to an entire population as “human animals,” they are not using metaphors; they are issuing a license for extermination.

Israel's economy has been tanking for two years now. And per your post plus the report below, it looks like there's no chance of improvement any time soon.

Israelis need to react and throw out their belligerent govt. before they start down the path of no return. And that journey is very very close.

All examples of "intent" to commit Genocide.

In little over a year, the ICJ will rule on the SA case for the Israeli Genocide of Gaza.

The evidence of actual Genocide in the public domain is overwhelming. The "intent" is the hardest part to prove - the likes of Ben-Gvir, Smotrich, Netanyahu, Herzog and Katz have ensured that decision will be a slam dunk.

Israel dumped out of ETSC 👍️

Israel’s membership in the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) has been suspended following steps taken by the Israeli government that the organisation says conflict with its core commitment to saving lives, the Israeli website Ynet reported Thursday.

Israel forging ahead with its ethnic cleansing program.

    Haaretz:

    • Israel on Friday officially recognized Somaliland, a breakaway region of Somalia, after months of secret negotiations. The Associated Press reported in March that the U.S. and Israel have reached out to officials of three East African governments, including Somaliland, to discuss using their territories as potential destinations for resettling Palestinians. Israel is the first country to formally recognize Somaliland.
    • Egypt said Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held phone calls on Friday with his counterparts from Somalia, Turkey and Djibouti to discuss ‌what they described as dangerous developments after Israel's announcement. The ministers condemned Israel's recognition of Somaliland, Egypt's foreign ministry said.
