New Google Cookie Consent Banner

It's very disappointing that Boards have deployed what in my view is the worst version of cookie consent tool/banner from an end user/data subject point of view. This is by design.

This Google tool forces users to manually switch off 'Legitimate Interest' processiing at vendor level, despite opting out of this form of tracking at the previous category page.

This is not compliant with data privacy legislation. Consent must be freely given, and pre-ticked opt ins are not aligned with this principle.

This is a backwards step by Boards.
