Can we make sure the ADBLUE rip off gets attention here too if it has not already.

    10 litres in B&Q is under €14

10 Litres in Halfords is €20.40

10 litres in Circle K today is €33.50

I remember the first van i got that used Adblue it was 80c a litre.

Adblue is where Circle K for one is really somewhere to avoid

Adblue is Adblue….Its just Urea / Nitrogen

The B&Q stuff is the same as the halfords stuff is the same as the liquid gold Circle K think they have

And the pumped Adblue stored in underground tanks isnt something ive had a good experience with (freezing cold ,long stored adblue has caused me issues. For a regular car that doesnt need it as often as a truck i stick with containered Adblue………but i wont be paying €33.50 for 10 litres)

The most important thing for Adblue is never purchase it if the bottles are stored outside a shop, it needs to be indoors away from direct sunlight

saw it recently in Aldi .

Saw 10L for £7.99 (€9.15ish) in Home Bargains Enniskillen the other day.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.

I got caught out aswell before at Applegreen garage but had left it too late(running very low) so had to pay it, well over €30.

    Never again lesson learned!

100% correct. Adlbue not correctly stored is blamed for causing adblue related issues. Similarly, Adblue that has a strong pungent smell is best discarded and not used. I know garages are expensive, but if they dispense through a pump then it's from an underground tank and the pump has it's own chiller installed. I'd rather pay the extra for that

    yes thats true

I also as i said am not a fan of the underground storage tank with above ground pump (like regular diesel or petrol ) as it doesnt like freezing cold weather either

But regardless of your preference….just dont pay circle k €33.50 when thats nearly 3 times what it can be got for.

They really are taking up for a ride with that price

If i was on facebook etc id be trying to get the word out there too……so feel free anyone here to make sure the word / reminder spreads

My local circle k has an ad blue pump and sells the bottles. Pump is way cheaper.

Personally i wont use tank stored adblue anymore. I havbe had bad experiences with it. Adblue storage is important with regard temp and sunlight (sunlight not an issue admittedly with a tank)

With Aldi, you can poke through all the containers to find best date and not covered in crystals.

Mine is in boot so can't use bulk fillers in stations.

Don't forget to add a bottle of anti crystal stuff from wynns or forte, prob costs more than the 10L of adblue.

The majority of transport companies use bulk storage, When adblue first appeared around 2008 a lot of companies just got it in IBC(large plastic containers holds 1000 litres) Before getting stand tanks put in. On my old A6 i use to.get a 5 litre bottle for around €10 then during the start of the Ukraine invasion it shot up to nearly €50. Also if you spill any on the paint work clear it off straight away.
