Oh I learned that one the hard way last year. The batteries came straight out of the remote control.

Made changing the channel for my grandmother-in-law who was watching her soaps a nightmare.

Ag Mag is new to me, haven't heard anyone mention it before. Best of luck to them on the venture.

I dont mind normal batteries, always have a stash of them but one year son got an arcade style game, nedded 6 C batteries, the price of them!

Growing up the local shop opened for 2 hours on Christmas morning for anyone who forgot their batteries!

I pity young Irish kids who's parents brainwashed them to watch them. Its All a money making brainwashing racket by them teams .

Disappointed he didn't play for Ireland - basically grew up on Border

They’ve a match tomorrow so probably wouldn’t have been doable. You could see him reading the script for that video

Ah but this is a really glossy kids mag, probably about time too they got an Irish made magazine. They did well to promote it tonight

Would you stop, its actually the opposite growing up always things you would see and wanted and certaintly didnt get in 1980s Ireland.

No different then with my own kids, nothing they see tonight will appear in their stocking.

Didn't have my wedding song being on the Toy show on my bingo card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,671 ✭✭✭For Petes Sake

    This bit always gets me.

Great to see all those kids involved and getting their moment even if it's pre-recorded.

I always have mixed feelings about that part, it feels like it's exploitative - but I always get a lump in my throat.
