that’s amazing. Ours are great to be fair but there is an inclination to push (which I completely get) but it deffo tips into too much at times

Just watched it on RTE player. Good show all round and Patrick is perfect for it.

However, I couldn’t help but notice and be shocked by amount of seriously fat and chubby kids on the show. Bit worrying for future society. Do parents find this normal nowadays ?

Apart from the contentious matter already brought up in the thread, this is the other elephant in the room that everyone's afraid to discuss! While I accept that this thread is not the appropriate place, some discussion is definitely warranted. The alternative is that some folk will resort to making wise-cracks on the side or assumptions (e.g. a kid is fat because they are allowed to eat too much junk food when it might actually be the case that they are on medication for an underlying condition which has a side effect of weight gain), and there is no broadening of people's thoughts on the topic. People often naturally want to gain a better understanding or explanation of things in life, but it's not helpful when any discussion on sensitive topics is always shot down. Again, sure, this thread isn't the ideal one, but I would bet that some posters here wouldn't be happy with any thread at all discussing the topics.

Unfortunately it’s a sad reality now with most children. With all the bollox from the pandemic we as a society have never been sicker and unhealthy.

A lot of backlash on social media over RTE's reach-out to 'influencers', one of which I won't name, but earned her fortune doing pron on OF. Completely inappropriate for a child-themed show IMHO.
