    MOD -

Lads I am pretty disgusted given the nature of the thread at the carry on from some boards members(posts now deleted).
I have banned one user already given their lengthy rants and absolutely despicable posts.

A raft of warnings and infractions have also been issued.

I will post the following warning for any future posters in this thread:

The Hunting forum has few specific rules, but bear in mind these 2:

    1. Hunting is legal, ethical and morally sound. This is an accepted axiom of this forum and discussions about whether or not hunting itself is an ethical or legal activity are not permissible; All such discussions will be deleted without exception. However, discussions on the ethics of specific hunting techniques or practices is permitted, but such discussions will be required to adhere to the rules more strictly than most other discussions.
    2. This is a hunting forum so if you're anti-hunting, we recommend that you don't post and don't read any posts; You are going to be offended. If you must post, please remember the first rule of the shooting forums - Be Civil to one another - and the above rule regarding discussions about ethics.

Posts breaking this rule have resulted in warnings, temporary bans or even permanent bans from boards as a whole.

You have been warned, post with that in mind.
Future rule breaks of this type in this thread will be dealt with
    harshly.

If you see something, @ me and I will deal with it.

On the topic at hand, condolences to the Fitzpatrick family, a terrible tragedy particularly given the youth of the deceased.

This is the first fatal hunting accident I can remember in well past 30 years in Ireland[ open to correction of course].But that is despite the immense tragedy of this an excellent record of safe shooting. Keep that in mind and make that point if you are going to reply to any ,actually, Godawful comments in the social media sewer on this incident. There are some really sick people out there, gloating and coffin dancing on this tragedy when no one knows the full details yet.

Poor guy and his poor family, just starting his adult life. I can't begin to imagine what his shooting partner is going through.

    Very sad news.

There are some who will use anything to put their opinion over, no matter what the stats say or who it affects.
