There was definitely a Holocaust. I worry that I have to confirm that historic fact for you. Now that was Genocide. The purposeful plan and mechanism to eradicate a people group. No one has shown me anything to suggest Gaza is anything other than a war brought about by Hamas and others invading Israel on October 7. If they hadn't done that , we wouldn't be talking about Israel bombing Gaza, though their sole aim is to eradicate Hamas. Perhaps you think that's genocide and are getting mixed up with the bigger picture.

    Try reading my post again.

And given the ICJ has found the case for Genocide as "plausible" and going as far as issuing "interim measures" for Israel to implement in order to prevent Genocide (which they have ignored three times), it will be a slam dunk verdict. Of course, in the interim, there is an avalanche of international organisations and even Holocaust scholars who confirm Israel is committing Genocide.

Clearly it doesn't suit your position and you're apparently happy to wave away the deaths of 50,000 women and children as "collateral damage". But regardless of the deaths themselves, it has been shown that Israel has committed the other elements of Genocide and the evidence of intent is overwhelming, as reported by the UN.

    "

The whole thing is massively one-sided, they are not under any kind of attack from anyone inside Gaza for months upon months now but they continued to pummel it. They’ve blocked aid, starved people, flattened entire areas. Hospitals, medics, starving people queuing for food, all murdered repeatedly. It is not the same as some other conflicts you people throw around like footballs.

    "

QED. Have seen what happens in Sudan? Whole towns flattened and people butchered with machetes? In the Congo they burned a women's prison to the ground burning hundreds alive. It is not deflection or whataboutery to ask why these conflicts are ignored and there is a laser like focus on Gaza. It is obvious double standards, Trying to erase a Jewish name on a park and then holding a football match beside all the while covering it in Palestinina flags is pure intimadation of Jewish people.

Again, what does this have to do with a park in Dublin which is named after a long dead Irish born jew?

Did you read the rest of my post? Because I already gave my opinion on why it is covered more than other conflicts. It started right after the line

And the reason Israel gets so much attention isn’t some secret bias. It’s pretty simple:

But you have just ignored the bulk of what I posted, picked a paragraph and re-asked a question I had already answered. You can keep bringing Sudan or Yemen into it, but it really doesn't back up your point in the way you think it does, for the reasons I already outlined.

It is clear after your months of drivelling on the other thread that you don't even clearly understand the definition of genocide.

You constantly state it is not a genocide by pointing out "facts" that are not related or have no bearing on whether something is a genocide or not.

But yet you continue to deny that's what this is, whilst rubbishing an overwhelming amount of genocide scholars opinion on it.

It is bad enough to fully support the murder of untold thousands of civilians, innocent kids, but then you try to somehow change the legal definition of something as horrendous as genocide to somehow support that viewpoint.

Who said I support the killing of civilians? I never said that but Israel is intent on wiping out Hamas. Hamas built infrastructure under hospitals, schools and homes. They used people as shields.

No one has ever come back to my question of where Israel to do. Just stop bombing and leave the infrastructure in place?

You don't try wiping out a people by dropping leaflets and warning them to move irrespective of what some people might think.

So are we agreed on calling the park "Arafat Square". The cancel culture is well and truly in full swing wanting to rename the park. They tried doing it in the US with BLM and it's happening here as well.

Perhaps we should just make Jews walk in the gutters with yellow stars stuck on their clothes as they're obviously to blame for what's happening in Gaza going by some of the nonsense on here

Again, I wasn't responding to you. I was responding to another post.

You have spent months on the other thread justifying it, in a most abhorrent way with unbelievably crass comments about the victims in all of this. Just because you didn't utter the words "I support the killing of civilians" - that's not some kinda "gotcha".

No one has ever come back to my question of where Israel to do.

Considering they had the backing of the biggest military in the world and supposedly defeated Hamas months previously, maybe not carpet bomb the place for a start. You were one of those saying Hamas should release the hostages and it would all be over remember… and guess what, it wasn't.

Considering your constant rehashing of the "human shield" argument, you'd presumably be OK with Hamas firing rockets into Haifa or Tel Aviv where Israel have military buildings in built up areas? Of course you wouldn't, nor should you be. but your rank hypocrisy allows you to maintain these double standards.

When you are still clinging to "they dropped leaflets" as some kind of defence for killing 100k people, the game is up. They also herded people to safe areas and then bombed the safe areas. They murdered 15 medics and discarded the evidence in a mass grave like they were animals. Where was the leaflets then? Or was it Hamas militants hiding in the ambulance?

And since you have descended into full melodrama in the last part of your post, comparing people criticising Israeli policy to forcing Jews to wear yellow stars and walk in gutters. It’s grotesque, historically illiterate, and a perfect example of the manufactured drama you come up with whenever you’re out of arguments.

This kind of hysterical exaggeration doesn’t make your point stronger. It’s impossible to have a genuine discussion when you keep resorting to inflammatory nonsense instead of engaging with what’s actually being said.

You spent months in that thread arguing in bad faith, clogging the page with nonsensical, unfounded claims, and then telling people who responded to you that you don’t bother reading their replies. Eventually you disappeared (in fact I think you were one of the ones banned?). Either way, I won’t be engaging with you further here.

Nothing, but you know there's nothing better to ease up any conflict than adding more fuel..

I couldn't find a relevant thread about the latest fiasco involving Eurovision and Irelands refusal to take part as well as RTE's refusal to broadcast next year's event but anyway as the late Alan Rickman said in his portrayal of Eamon de Valera in the movie Michael Collins there's something i wish to say.

Ireland between this controversy about renaming a park just because people want to eradicate all traces of Jewishness from this country and the Eurovision fiasco has proven itself yet again to be the most anti semitic country in Europe. The hold the Islamic terrorist/Hamas loving and anti Israel and anti semitic far left lunatics have on this country is terrifying. May god bless the people of Israel and the Jewish people as they face levels of hatred directed at them (under the guise of social justice and care for humanity) that hasn't been seen since the days of Nazi Germany.

October 7th 2023 was the day of the biggest mass slaughter of the Jewish people since the Holocaust. The world and Ireland in particular responded to this by escalating and increasing their hatred of Jews. What a disgrace and what a disgusting shambles of a country we are.

Pushing too hard there, all these threads have something common. Posters trying to accumulate and feed more and more to satisfy (any) conflict.
