I'd tend to agree but it's worth pointing out that they're in no way a like-for-like replacement for a traditional daily trainer.

I find the SL2 quite sporty for a daily trainer. I have a dose of PF and the SL2 really set them off, I could however run forever in Pegasus or 880s with no flair up.

128 pounds delivered for Vaporfly 4. You might be able to get it cheaper if you mess about with currencies.

This must be the biggest flop from a flagship model in years. Has anyone tried them?

it was on sale the month it was released, which is a terrible sign compared to the 1,2 & 3, which were hard to find in stock for ages, never mind paying list price.
    a flop for sure

I got the Vaporfly 4 for cheap but not as cheap as above. I got a big pb for 5km in them. Maybe just the way I run but they didn't feel great at 3:30/km but once I got to 3:20/km I could feel them propelling me forward. Im happy with them.

VF 4 probably isn’t a bad shoe at all, the problem for Nike is everyone else has either caught up to them or overtaken them with super shoes of their own.
They used to be the only show in town now they are just one of many.

172 for Alphas in Lifestyle Sports, lots of sizes available and you’ll get them next day.

we all jumped into the VF 2 & 3 during the years that the AF1 was hard to find, and the AF2 wasn’t a great show - and then the AF3 blitzed everything, so the VF problems started with the 3 really, and now the 4 isn’t even a marathon shoe.

metaspeed sky Tokyo, or the puma shoes have made the VF4 a tough sell, so it gets discounted. A great training shoe probably

They're an "everything shoe" - easy, sessions, long runs. I've 3 pairs on the go, one with 800k and showing no signs of degradation. Fourth pair is for 2026.

For any fans of the Vomero Plus, the Nike store (does one count it as an outlet shop?) has 30% off of you spend over €30 in Blanchardstown

They have the Vomero Plus is one colourway (which my daughtered labelled looks like ice cream!) that is listed for €126 - but with the discount at the till it was €89. I can deal with the colourway for that!

A lot more variations available in the standard Vomero 18’s and probably some bits on the Pegasus but to be honest, wasn’t really paying attention to that. I was having a quick look as been eying up a new set of Vomero Plus’ with the marathon build in mind and 500K+ on the current pair.
