    Hi folks,

Looking to get a bean to cup machine. Have seen a few videos on the De'Longhi Magnifica Start and was considering that one, but wondered if anyone here might have some recommendations? Have had a look at other machines but there are so many that I'm overwhelmed and honestly don't know what to look at.

Was hoping to pick something up in the black friday sales (hopefully there are good deals).

Budget would be €300 (preferably the machine would come in under that though!)

Would greatly appreciate any and all recommendations.

I have a magnifica start. It's my third delonghi bean to cup and I love it. If you can get it for your budget snap it up.

My only gripe and it's my fault I tought I'd use the milk more but I don't as I have a standalone frother. And I find it doesn't give a lot of milk and it's cant be done as a standalone.

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm delighted to read this. I do have a standalone frother but it isn't great and I rarely use it. I only really have frothed milk in my coffee so I wouldn't mind it not being useable as a standalone.

Fingers crossed I'll get a machine in the sale. I've an Amazon voucher so really hoping they'll have a decent offer on, but if not, somewhere will!

Hope I'm not hijacking the thread but after nearly 14 years of use, our current DeLonghi Magnificia is starting to make some strange noises so I'm looking into a replacement model; anyone able to advise on the differences between the Start and the Plus models (other than 250-300 euro):

DeLonghi Magnifica Start Fully Automatic Bean to Cup Coffee Machine | ECAM220.60.B | Black | Ireland

DeLonghi Magnifica Plus Automatic Bean to Cup Coffee Machine | ECAM320.60.B | Black | Ireland

From what I can see, it just seems like there are more settings on the Plus but nothing which comes even close to justifying the price difference?

I have the start the cheaper one it's my 3rd de longhi machine and I can't fault them. That's some age for your one though.

More than likely it has the same brew unit as the more expensive one so coffee will be very similar. At that price it's a steal I paid 700 dollars for mine here in the US stupid things are massive money over here.
