I found a voucher that brings this laptop down to £399 (460 euro).

The voucher does not work on currys.ie (599 euro)

It seems like a great price for an OLED with good CPU and some more premium features.

Im just wondering is there something wrong with this laptop? A known fault?

I already have a lenovo X1 Carbon G6 refurb with similar spec for my son for Christmas. Its for schoolwork and he's 15.

Im thinking I will get him this Acer and I will keep the Lenovo as Ive been testing it and its excellent for my needs.

Would also be great for my son to open a brand new laptop for Christmas.

Seems like a good price but when I open the link I'm seeing £499. Can't tell what the RAM was from your picture but bear in mind if it is LPDDR5x then it's probably configured as soldered onto the motherboard, so whatever you get to start with is the most you can have. You want 16GB for Win 11 and that's a minimum.

Some OLED screens have had issues with burn in, some have had no issues at all. The non OLED option for this laptop is apparently disappointing..

Thanks. The full specs are further down the sales page. It is indeed soldered LPDDR5x but Im ok with that.

I have a promo code that takes it down to £399. After I have it reserved shortly I'll post the code in case anyone else wants the discount.

Very happy with both laptops. Not sure if the full prices mean much but the AI laptop is showing at 849 euro now on Currys Ireland. Son loves the OLED screen on it. Its snappy considering there was some concern over the cpu.

The Thinkpad X1 Carbon is great for me. It feels like you could run over it and it would survive. Really sleek looking and nice backlit keyboard. I think to get both for 910 euro isnt bad.
