Kierans were excellent and a huge improvement on performance and taking their scores from last week. Good Counsel are now in the back door and looking at the tables , it should be Johnstown and Counsel (both should win their prelim rounds) who will play Kierans or CBS in the Leinster semi finals in January which are knockout.

Wasnt the first of those councillors on the programme there because he was friendly with Carey, was asked for money and was very upset therefore when his wife died from cancer? I think his inclusion was appropriate

I'd have assumed an audiobook is standard these days for any book release? Hardly a cause of outrage.

Looking at matters on the pitch not a bad way to ease into the league with Offaly up first and a break week before playing Limerick away. You'd imagine if we canwin our home games against Offaly and Waterford it would go a long way to guaranteeing survival. Personally I don't really care how the league goes if we are trying new players and looking at different options, but if we're going with strong teams and getting nowhere like we were last year, serious questions will need to be asked.

This year, I think it was windy and/or raining during all our league matches, pitches were soft. It can be very difficult for a player to make an impression in those conditions. Completely different to June/July. Hard to introduce a running game. The likes of Owen Wall or Bill Sheahan are not going to show up well whereas a Lester Ryan type of player may thrive.

Any suggestions for a centre back for the league?

Surely theres one about with a bit of the dog in him?

we have not had a good centre back in a decade or more and and as result we have no Ireland. We have tried, Riche Reid, Deegan, Fogarty, Buckley, Blanchfield, all failed. Padraog walsh was ok there but not as good as on the wing. If we can find a dominant centre back, with a bit of dog and loads of hurling we are equipped to win an All Ireland .its our Achilles heal for a long time
