Got 48 SIM activated and ordered today but got a cancellation email straight away. Maybe because I used same email etc on the 4a deal few years ago.

Guess will have to try in-store if want get this deal. Anyone successful on ordering last day or so

don't think that would be the reason - I got a 9a using the same email as when I got a 4a. In any case, you could just set up a different email account and use that

yep - had two €199 transactions pending after the phone had been delivered and paid for but no sign of them now

Picked a lyca sim in dealz today for €1.50, activated it and then ordered the pixel on the Vodafone site.

Payment went through and email confirmation from DPD saying phone will arrive tomorrow so all looks in order.

The €199 is most likely a pre-authorisation i.e. a temporary hold placed on your card by VF to verify the card is valid and that funds are available for a future payment. If VF don't complete the transaction, the hold is released after a certain period. So if VF have cancelled the transaction, the pre-auth will simply drop off.

Ordered a Lyca sim on Friday, received it on Wed. Activated it by applying €5 credit and purchased the phone. Used a new email address for the order (as had issues in past with VF purchases).

Delivered to me today in less than 24hrs after order was placed.

    Yea, happy out!

The cover is hard (tinted transparent) plastic and the screen protect was really easy to apply and doesn't effect performance at all.

Im used to softer silicone cases, so thats the only thing I have to get used to, but for the 2-in-one price tag it's worth it

I had same situation happen on Monday, talked to support and they couldn't find anything but said it would revert in 3 to 5 days so will shall see.

This exact scenario happened to me. So I reordered the phone which went through okay and the original 199 was revoked about 3 days later

Same situation but a cancellation text to the new 48 sim rather than email. Have confirmation email with order number so a bit puzzling (used a new email address also as am an existing Vodafone customer). Might have to try again with a different card.

I reordered there looks to have went through but got a text to the 48 number also. 2 attempts today on different emails but there's 3 199 euro pending charges now. Frustrating.

Not sure to try again I might just go to a store and do it just don't want the 20 euro credit I'll have to buy probably.

Is it okay to ask you all….
I see Vodafone also have the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G for €200.
    It's 256GB, a larger screen & larger battery.
    Slower performance.
How do you think this stacks up against the Google Pixel 9A 128GB?

Just wondering which to get as a pressie for someone (not a gamer)

I've owned Redmi's and they're great phones.. but I'd be going for the Pixel 100%.

I re-ordered the phone again. It wouldn't let me use my email address even though it was Vodafone that cancelled my order (thankfully you can stick the number 1 in front of a Gmail address).

Probably will have to fight to get them to refund my first order.

Also re-ordered, exact same details just used a Revolut card this time and funds taken immediately. No immediate cancellation message via email or text so time will tell. Have two pending transactions on my credit card so presume they will drop in a few days once Vodafone realise they've cancelled the orders.

cancelled straight away…lol..vodafone with same old issues !

    They are a disaster

I have tried 4 times. Same thing cancelled. Have 4 holds on my credit card.

It might be an idea to use a different name for delivery if you have already bought from Vodafone or are a customer already. I bought mine a couple of days ago with no problems (delivered within 24 hours), but I am a current Vodafone customer, so I had it delivered to me using my middle name, in case it flagged me as an existing customer if I used my first name. Might just be paranoia on my part, but it seems to have worked.

The problem is they can't shed any light on why the orders are failing so its variables bingo name address card email...

Just realised I never got a confirmation email on my second attempt. Got the order number and the money left my account. Waiting game now.

I couldnt get to the payment section after entering my name as there is a comma in my surname. when i took that out it went to payment but that failed 4 times. Anyway it was for my mum but i managed to pick up a motorola instead for here thats similar size but a bit lighter.

I'm trying to use a Lyca Mobile Sim but it doesn't seem to be receiving the activation code. Any reason for this? Thanks

That worked for the activation but I received this then from Vodafone.

    "

Hi Customer, Unfortunately, your order has not met our online order criteria and has been cancelled. All charges have been refunded. Please call into a Vodafone Ireland retail store to complete your order. Please note that our Customer Care agents can only assist existing Vodafone customers. Thank You, Vodafone."

Newbie question. Do you have to activate a new 48 sim (i.e. €12.99) in order to receive a text?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,685 ✭✭✭Officer Giggles

No you just need to log on to their website and activate the SIM card which will then give you your 48 mobile number

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 535 ✭✭✭sector_000

    Order was cancelled 🤨
What's the best thing to change?

    email? Name?
    Can't change delivery address!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,244 ✭✭✭✭Basq

    I ordered a second.

Used a different email, delivery address and card. And it wasn't cancelled.
