Interesting match coming up at the Emirates. Bayern and Arsenal are currently the joint outright favourites to lift the CL trophy this season.

And as for next week the way Bayern have been playing lately and with Gabriel out I'd say Bayern might quite possibly do them, they have been formidable lately.

The way the ball moves through their lines is impressive. Touches under severe pressure, balls coming at people neck height at speed and yet everyone manages to move the ball with one touches from player to player towards goal. It looks at times close to the 2020, 2021 form. Olise is fantastic, Diaz a revelation, Harry Kane chief, cook and bottle washer while actually enjoying himself and Musiala is only just starting to train with the ball.

But unfortunately I fear it may be just too early for that sort of form. While the new group stage is interesting, for the top teams its quite - well 'meaningless' is maybe not the right word, you still need to progress - but lets say beating PSG & Arsenal now isn't going to win you the Champions league. Beating them in March, April, May might and I fear Bayern may be peaking too early and they wont be at the same level come spring time.

Paramount has won the rights to show Champions League matches in the UK from 2027. Reports well over £1 billion a year for 4 years

Hopefully they don't employ Rio, Owen, Hargreaves etc as well.

Irish rights too from what I have heard, hopefully there will still be games on RTE and Virgin Media

    Ajax are absolute muck

And further shows how awful this competition format is if they go on to lose this, 5 losses from 5, and still aren't out of the competition

Cant believe how bad Barca were last night. Sunday morning league levels of defending. Why do managers like Flick get hailed so much when they set up tactics like they did last night? Clueless stuff.

Absolutely bizarre handball by Van Dijk. Pushes the ball away above his head in the box to give away a penalty.

Was a fan Chiesa but seeing that was just blatant cheating...should be carded

Wow, PSV boszing this match, some great young players and stalwarts like Schauten & Perisic imperious. Can see why they are on such a great run.

Let alone the drag back too that wasnt carded, all he did was bring a crap attitude.

    4-1 now, proper hammering

enough credit in the bank i reckon. certainly to xmas if in and around top 4 (very congested table still), and they'll get into CL qualifying stage at least. maybe if klopp is open to a return.

arsenal look like some machine that'll take some stopping.

Arsenal absolutely dominated Bayern. It's just impossible for them to keep up this kind of form. They have to have a dip at some stage, just hope it doesn't send them on a downward spiral.

Will enjoy it while it lasts anyway.
