For me it is Gogglebox absolute and utter rubbish. People watching people watch TV. FFS. Get a life. It's so fake.

In second it's Ireland AM on Virgin One. More Tripe. Three or 4 nobodies get paid for talking absolute Tripe with half of it being inaudible. You would to be put of your head to watch it live. Its basically audible torture.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Pretty much any 'scripted reality' show. A literal oxymoron.

You would to be put of your head to watch it live.

That's why I make sure that I record every episode. I'd hate to watch it live.

Yes I could never understand Deal or no deal but my parents loved it. Thankfully I have seen it in years now.

Agreed all Tripe with a capital T.

How dare you. Take that back. Its a great show. I love her shows. Maybe getting a bit long in the tooth now but I still love the show.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I watched one episode of Gogglebox and thought it was great.

Sometimes I feel sorry for English people, then I think about Gogglebox and realise that we're actually not mean enough to them

Honestly, where do they find the people on it? I'd assume they find the applications with the highest number of spelling mistakes and go with them

I'm hoping for an American version, it'd just be MAGA goons shouting at Fox News and then shooting their TVs

My brain put these together and came up with "I'm hoping for an American version, it'd just be MAGA goons shouting at Fox News and then shooting their Friends"

First off… that word… TRIPE. It's just exceptional.

I'm a celeb. JESUS WEPT. That is utter tripe.

(X Country) Got Talent - just a pile of bollox, seems like its there for so called "celebrity" judges like Cowell, Walsh etc to mock people who have dreams and put themselves out there to be cruelly rejected under the guise of finding someone they can exploit…..i mean help grow in show business

I'd enjoy Deal or No Deal far more if all the gobsheens on it didn't act like there was some type of strategy, or that the power of positive thinking and hoping would in any way change the outcome. Or if aul' Betty didn't act like she ruined the player's life because the player picked her number and there was £100k in that box. B*tch you just opened the box, not your fault the player's "system" is based on absolutely nothing.

It's f*cking random. The entire thing is random. It's the most no-skill pure-luck gameshow imaginable. And that would be fine if all the players just accepted that it's random.

At least with Tipping Point they have to answer some questions, and press a button to drop the disk. Deal or No Deal is like if on Tipping Point they all just stood there watching disks fall randomly into the machine until eventually someone won. The only little bit of skill in DoND is choosing if/when to take the Banker's deal, but christ they really drag out the box-opening bits with such nonsense.

    I'm a celebrity

Celebrity dancing, running, dating whatever its called

    Love Island.

and the worst part about them all is the bombardment of media and everyone talking about them that comes with these shows.

I've never watched one but I just know they will annoy me.

I really don't get Gogglebox, and the people who watch it complain that nothing else is on but won't watch what the Gogglebox people are watching.

The Late Late needs to be retired, it's been absolute cringe since gaybo left.

    "The Late Late Toy Show":

A 2.5 hour show which consists of:

1.5 hours dancing kids in different routines.

.5 hours of stories told by a kid

About 15 minutes talking about Toys in total with 3 "reviews" for different age groups

25 minutes worth of Ad reaks

I think cookery programms are the biggest load of brainless trash on Television by a mile, particulary the segments on chat shows. Between all UK and RTE main channels there must be 50 hours of cooker programmes per week. I don't imagine there's a single person who ever makes anything they've seen on these shows, in fact they are made for people who can't cook at all. How many times to people need to be told to marinade or even 'season' stuff as if they've never heard of such a thing before. I always imageine people watching the shows scoffing a pot noodle and as they look at close ups of the food on their large 4K TVs.

There was an American version "the peoples couch" it was cancelled.

Gogglebox and gogglebox Ireland are both terrific imo.

Interestingly I listened to a podcast with the chief content officer of the BBC, the one show she said she would have loved to have pitched to her was gogglebox! She thought it was genius.

Bad tv for me, the big bang theory, dreck.

Any of the "aftershow" things for so-called reality shows like Love Island or Big Brother. As if those shows themselves aren't bad enough (mostly just people chosen to engineer and provide drama and conflict and just using the show to try start their own media careers), but then you gather a bunch of non-entities to discuss what just happened as if what just happened was in any way interesting to begin with.

Eastenders, Coronation Street, Fair City are the pits. That Baz show Faithless is just utter garbage. Mrs. Brown's Boys take the cake for me. Absolute bottom of the barrel dross
