Shedeur Sanders finally got on the field for the Browns after Dillon Gabriel got injured.

In fairness, always going to be tougher when you're not QB1 and you're brought on in the middle of a game. But still, interesting to see him finally get a chance to shine and then… not shining.

These hate posts are just sad.

As you said he got thrown in at the deep end in a crap offense.

Give him time with the first team before you pass judgement.

Personally I'm a big fan of his dad, one of the greatest corners ever and I love how he kept himself relevant by remaining cocky after he retired.

Lots hate Deon and are piling that on his son which is very unfair to the young man.

Shedeur has bucket loads of talent.

I mostly agree, and if anything I think not having a great performance right off the bat will be better for him in the long run. I also admired how he spoke about Gabriel recently and encouraging fans to get behind him (can't remember if that was before or after the game).

But I think part of the problem with Shedeur is also self-inflicted, because they tried building so much hype around Shedeur before he was even drafted that it set crazy and unrealistic expectations on him.

He himself comes across quite humble and reserved, but it felt like Deion and his whole management team tried to act like he was a very-soon-to-be franchise QB before even being drafted. The cheers when he came on last night were huge, and I think it was never going to match what he'd be capable of coming in cold halfway through a game.

I genuinely do hope he becomes a great QB, but I think that air of hype and expectation also needed to be erased so he can build up to being that great QB.

Poor Shedeur. Since the Browns came back into the league QBs making their first start for them have went 0-17.

Defensive master class from the Texans. I think they said toward the end of the game that Allen was sacked 7 times.

The interception that was run back for a td but them called back for the penalty, they said Allen hadn't had a pick six since 2019 which is insane.

David Sills with a touchdown, his first in the league at 29 years old. Hes been bouncing around practice squads - college fans will remember him as a stud WR at West Virginia, and old school college fans will remember all the fuss when he committed to USC at like 13/14 years old as a highly rated QB.

Unbelievable. The Cowboys have the ball 1st and goal around the five, first down Javonte Williams gets it to the 1. They go with three pass plays after that and turn it over on downs.

What sort of idiots are calling the plays? And the game is tied, a field goal gives you the lead late in the fourth quarter.

Shedeur becomes the first Browns QB to win on his first start since 1995.

He played decent when you consider the state of the offense.

First Browns QB starting debut win in 18 games, it was 0-17 going into tonight.

Can't believe the Cowboys won that 24-21 from being behind 21-0

I have more questions than answers after that game.

Are the cowboys defence good now?

    Are the eagles bad?

Does Dak have the weapons to be elite now?

Can we somehow make the playoffs.

Always nice to beat the eagles, insane that Cee Dee Lambe was inches away from us being either 2-0 or 0-2 against them.

Eagles absolutely sh*t the bed last night. A terrific first half with some decent throws, better routes, mixing the plays up a bit.

Second half, no doubt have to give a lot of credit to the Cowboys, especially Dak, Pickens and even Lamb for some of his catches (should have had more, but still made some great catches). A lot of decent run plays from the Cowboys too last night. But the Eagles absolutely did themselves no favours with a lot of stupid penalties, Saquon cannot get a run through the middle of the field to save his life, the secondary just had no answer for Pickens, and the offensive playcalling went back to being short and obvious. Add into that a good few injuries to Eagles defense in the second half.

The OC needs to go. It's been a problem all season. Curl routes on passing plays, and trying to slam Barkley up the middle on run plays. Defences have us absolutely sewn up.

49ers had a great first drive at the beginning of the game to go up 7-0. Since then Purdy has thrown three interceptions and has completed 10 passes for 61 ysrds, McCaffrey fumbled too. Young has completed three of five passes for 20 yards and one int.

    Absolutely awful stuff.

That was not a touchdown. The ball moved and he had no hands on it when his first foot had left the ground.

Jameson Williams stepping up big with St. Brown out.

LeFleur didn't get that timeout called before the false start either.

But Lions somehow getting their act together

Usual Packers decisions from the refs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 42,656 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

The Packers certainly got away with a lot of holding.

Still the Lions made some curious decisions. Montgomery scored a touchdown from the wildcat after making good ground behind his offensive line on a couple of plays.

They were in the same position twice after that and didn't use Montgomery except for one wildcat play where he attempted a pass.

If something is working you should stick with it until it stops working.

The wheels will come off this cowboys train eventually, but until they do......

    HOW BOUT THOSE COWBOYS.

As an Eagles fan, I hate the Cowboys. But as an Eagles fan, I also hate the Chiefs. (And as an Eagles fan, everyone hates us)

Can't deny you your victories though. Well deserved.

Thought the Cowboys might be lucky to go 1-2 through this Eagles/Chiefs/Lions stretch, but they might very well go 3-0.

Bears at Eagles tonight is an Amazon Prime exclusive.

According to this link, for viewers in the UK "no subscription or Prime membership required." Guessing that applies to Ireland as well.
How to watch NFL Black Friday Football in the UK on Prime Video - About Amazon UK

So presumably it will just be a case of finding a stream on the Amazon site at around 8pm?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 37,231 ✭✭✭✭Penn

It will be on DAZN/Gamepass too (it's only exclusive in terms of TV broadcasts), but yeah it should be in the Prime Video app/site. You probably need to log in to your Amazon account to get into the app/site, but you don't have to have an actual Amazon Prime or Prime Video membership to watch the game.

Such a shame Burrow is only back now. The Bengals look dangerous with him back and the defense playing infinitely better. Glad the Pats got to face Flacco last week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,409 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

Same for the bears, glad we played them when we did

Would be happy enough today if we are competitive and get out without any injuries. Don't think a win is very likely, bears going in the right direction but might be a year early to really take on the big guns. Still, any given Friday... Two big defensive players back for us so we might do some damage on that side, lead the league in takeaways, and I don't think anybody likes dealing with our passing game, Williams is really spreading the ball around well. Makes some mistakes but he can really lock in as well, just needs consistency. But yeah, if we keep the loss to single digits I'm happy enough.

That was way too easy for the bears.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,900 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

10-3 bears. The eagles defence have decided to not bother it appears.

Have Amazon no pundits? Just getting a stadium view and the music at most of the breaks.
