Was surprised to see the VIP tickets popping up on this as Robert Smith has been dead set against dynamic pricing . Last time I was talking to him 😜I told him 100 EU was my max price point ! ( Fan poll!)

Have been to as many Cure concerts as I can fit in in the last 46 years, babies allowing , and each one different and memorable, with as much care and thought and effort put in by the group especially Smith ,to giving the fans the best night possible .

He has said he will retire when he is 70 which is April 2029 so will we get one more tour after this ? Maybe . Maybe not .

But I will be front standing dancing for it anyway and might plump for VIP for the final one if we get there 🖤

I suppose one could argue that VIP tickets aren't dynamic pricing.

    Marley park though 🙃

Picked up front stand tickets today. Marlay park is a pain in the hole as a venue, but for the cure I'll take the pain

It didn't sell out straight away I see? Was confident id pick up a resale ticket next year anyway but more confident now

I'd say it would be handy enough.

Does it usually sell out? I can remember a few examples of fairly big acts not selling it out in recent years. The Cure have actually had a few gigs here in recent years too.

Lot of people weren't able to get tickets for the 3 Arena last time. Not to mention travelling fans from all over who will attend as many concerts on each tour that they can .

Can't see it selling out completely though .

Does Marlay Park sell out ? What is max capacity there ? Is it bigger than Malahide anyone know ?

It's almost twice the size, I think.. Definitely a decent bit bigger anyway. Picked up a couple of front standing tickets the other day. Have somehow never seen them before, so one to look forward to!

Ohh a Cure virgin ...I hope you enjoy the journey ..love it .

Then there will be plenty of tickets although front standing might be best according to Marlay Park experts .

I am a Marlay Park virgin 😁 wrong side of the Liffey for me !

About 35k capacity depending on the stage layout. They lost a few thousand for the Weeknd stage layout.

Cheers! Will be bringing my son.. He's become a bit of a fan of them in recent years, so should be a great day out.

Marlay Park itself is grand as a venue although I haven't been there in a good few years now.. Transport to and from it have always been the problem. There never seems to be enough public transport. I'm close enough that I could probably walk home in about an hour though.

Front standing is the best for sure. I've been to Marlay Park twice. Pearl Jam - couldn't see the stage and relyed on the big screen. Green Day - could see the stage but it was too far away.

Whoever had the extra tickets but couldn't get a refund….. You should be able to resell them on Ticketmaster itself. You can get the full amount you paid including fees

    Hi Shakyfan, that was me.

Put both up on Ticketmaster and they both sold within a couple of hours so all sorted now.

I bought two tickets. General - not front standing which I’d prefer. Really not sure about Marley park though.

Doesn't normally sell out. Even when we are officially told it is sold out, there generally ends up being plenty of tickets available closer to the gig. The exception that I saw was Olivia Rodrigo, but she is one of the hottest tickets in town. But even at that, there were still tickets available in the weeks before the gig.

its much bigger than malahide i think. Front standing is gone (for now anyway, more might popup) but id say you will be able to buy general admission on the day

Good. Family members looking for tickets . Wouldn't mind but gave them the option of the GA tickets first before that I got them refunded !

Guess they'll just have to take their chances now 😊

I picked up two tickets a few days back €89 each. How is Robert Smith's voice doing? I've never seen the Cure live, so hope I get a good view of the stage and the sound quality is good.

I saw them in the Troxy in London this time last year for the album launch and his voice was fine.

Is there any likelihood of more general admission tickets being released this side of Christmas? Have checked for the past few days and am just getting the option to buy resale tickets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,286 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

Its hard to say if any new tickets will be released. Bu the ticketmaster resale tickets work fine…I have bought many of them in the past… and if you get one for less than face value then you have done well.

Thanks, yeah I have used them before, just wanted to buy a pair of tickets for a gift so wanted them together. But will probably just try to get resale tickets when I can!
