Oh dear, seems the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing.

Israeli allies evaporating like the Dead Sea.

Senior Saudi officials have signalled to Palestinian leadership over recent days that they will not advance normalization with Israel during the Netanyahu government's term, Palestinian officials told Haaretz.

One official said that any government that includes Smotrich and Ben-Gvir "is not a partner to any diplomatic move and of course not to a normalization agreement." According to the officials, Saudi Arabia will condition normalization on a clear diplomatic proposal to establish a Palestinian state.

Culture Minister Miki Zohar said that an agreement to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia is a "paramount Israeli interest" that will "shape the future of the Middle East for generations," while saying that Israel would not recognize a Palestinian state "that could endanger our security."

The weather is Hamas. And the IDF are lying. Again.

Israeli troops in southern Lebanon shot at two UNIFIL soldiers on patrol on Sunday morning "due to poor weather conditions," the IDF said, adding that "no deliberate fire was directed toward UNIFIL soldiers, and the matter is being handled through official military liaison channels."

Birds of a feather… (Ben-Gvir is a convicted terrorist and racist)

Right-wing activist Mordechai David, an ally of far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, was questioned on suspicion of threatening journalist Guy Peleg, who first aired the leaked video allegedly showing the abuse, a police official told Haaretz.

David was later released under restrictive conditions and barred from contacting Peleg for 15 days.

Richard Falk and his wife were detained and questioned for 4 hours at the airport in Canada on the basis that they “ pose a national security threat to Canada.” Still no sanctions on the apartheid state for what they are doing and have done for the last decades, yet holding 95 year olds because they speak out correctly about it.

Big vote today which should reveal quite a lot, the wording has been changed to include “conditions may be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood” quite a pushback going on from the sound of it from Israel against that right.

You can find multiple website references to Israel's role in trafficking organs. A country that murders civilians then harvests their organs then returns the bodies when they are badly decomposed and cannot be identified.

The EU disgraced themselves throughout the genocide. Their leaders are spineless.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Must be plenty of politicians kicking around the world serving Israel's interests. See this one, they even go on camera and admit it. I don't get it myself like, they are supposed to be doing a job for their own people not a different country thousands of miles away.

That is not a reputable source. This thread has descended into deranged conspiracy theory territory. Next we'll be hearing about how the israelis drink the blood of babies in their rituals

The text below is from a UN report, is that okay? Is it only the source you object to and not the substance?

Illegal Trafficking in Organs of Dead and Kidnapped Palestinian Victims

As if it is not enough for Israel:

    (1) to create a state of immigrants on eighty percent of historic Palestine againstthe will of its indigenous people, the Palestinians, and expel, through ethnic cleansing andmassacres, which are fully documented, most of the Palestinians from their homeland that became Israel, to be followed by the destruction of their homes and villages and the erasure of their history in their country and all indications that they had ever been present there;

    (2) to occupy the rest of Palestine, what is now known as ‘Occupied Palestinian Territories’, to again create another wave of Palestinian refugees, to confiscate more land to establish illegal Israeli settlements, to oppress humiliate, and control their lives, their movements, their very means of existence, to force them into total submission;

    (3) to create the largest open-air prison in the world, through the construction of a wall that completely excludes the Occupied Palestinian Territories from the rest of the world. Its consequences amount to an act of siege and economic genocide; a wall that the International Court of Justice has ruled to be illegal and should be demolished;

    (4) to let loose hordes of marauding gangs of Israeli illegal settlers so as to launch pogroms against Palestinians, to burn their crops when ready for harvest, to uproot olive trees, tens and hundreds of years old, create more illegal settlements on any Palestinian land these gangs may decide upon, all under the protection of the Israeli Defence Force.

Now:It is the turn of the dead, kidnapped and killed Palestinians. Their human organs, as reported in the press, can be a source of immense wealth through illegal trafficking in the world market. Israeli physicians, Medical Centres, rabbis and the Israeli army may to be involved, according to reports published in the Swedish press and criminal investigations in the United States. After Israeli physicians remove organs they think marketable, the soldiers bury the bodies in graves that carry only numbers and no names, or place them in sealed caskets and deliver them under curfew conditions to the families and supervise the digging of the graves and burial.

This thread has descended into deranged conspiracy theory territory

One post and the thread is now a conspiracy theory? The poster backed it with other sources so, no, the thread has not "descended" into anything.

Remember all wailing and gnashing of teeth for the hostages and how critical it was to get them all back home? I do.

All a pack of lies - clearly the standard Israeli Govt. MO.

    • Released hostage Rom Braslavski said in a Facebook post that he is "experiencing indescribable suffering, far beyond post-traumatic stress disorder" and that he has "encountered only disdain from the state, from every official, since the moment I returned," adding that he has not heard from PM Netanyahu since he returned from Hamas captivity.
    • Braslavski also criticized the state's financial support for freed hostages as "a disgrace," adding that "the Defense Ministry, the government, the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, the government hostage department, the police – all these government bodies are abandoning me and ignoring my calls."

Seems Israel is puckering up over the possibility of stealth fighters going to the Saudis.

Senior Israeli defense officials told Haaretz that selling F-35s to Saudi Arabia was a "dangerous step," explaining that if the jets include technological systems found on Israeli aircraft, the Saudis could get access to additional capabilities, including software and systems that were integrated into IAF planes and jets. From Israel's perspective, the sources said, the sale could lead to a change in the White House's approach towards Israel's "qualitative military advantage."

White House sources told the Associated Press that it was unlikely that U.S. President Trump was ready to sign off on the deal to sell the F-35s to Saudi Arabia, but emphasized that Trump is unpredictable and may approve it if Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman manages to convince him during their meeting on Tuesday.

It's always been about him saving his own skin.

"Politically, it is much easier for Netanyahu to end Israel's Qualitative Military Edge and give the Americans his blessing for selling the F-35 to an Arab country than to say the word Palestinian.

After all, the extremists in his cabinet have no understanding of QME anyway, nor do most of their voters.

The real-world implications on Israel's security are a secondary issue for the prime minister; for him, it is all about staying in power and avoiding an early election"

    I know who I'd believe…

The IDF said on Monday morning that the man killed in an Israeli drone strike on Sunday was Muhammad Ali Shuweikh, described as a terrorist who "served as the local representative of Hezbollah."

The Hezbollah-affiliated Al Mayadeen reported that Shuweikh was a principal of a local school.

Trial of Palestine Action activists started today, will it be a trial of their actions or of state terrorism? It could be bye bye Keir if defendants win :)

Six members of the proscribed UK direct action group, Palestine Action, go on trial on Monday for allegedly damaging weapons at the UK base of Israeli defence firm Elbit Systems in August 2024.

The detainees, who are just some of a total of 24 activists linked to the group who have been arrested at different times, have been in custody for more than a year without trial, breaking the UK’s six-month pre-trial detention limit.

Israel tried to decide political decisions in Switzerland but got called out. Soon a fart by an Israeli in international atmospheres will be called out :)

    https://www.palestinechronicle.com/swiss-probe-finds-ali-abunimahs-arrest-ordered-by-israeli-linked-official/

A Swiss parliamentary investigation has concluded that the detention and expulsion of Palestinian-American journalist Ali Abunimah in January were the result of a series of irregularities as well as political interference, in particular by a senior Swiss official with financial ties to Israel, according to the Electronic Intifada (EI).

    UN votes for plan

    Edit:

The resolution was backed by 13 countries on the Council - including the UK, France and Somalia - with none voting against the proposal. Russia and China abstained from the vote.

The draft also raises the possibility of a Palestinian state - something Israel strongly opposes.

The US and Israel are bullying countries with the threat of the US unleashing its zionist dogs to return to murdering 100 Palestinians a day. The choice is 100 or 5 dead Palestinians a day. On this basis, a vague resolution was approved that can be used to justify anything that Israel and the US decide it meant in the future including the resumption of the genocide at full speed. A shameful day for the UNSC but 95 Palestinians will wake up tomorrow rather than being buried under rubble or smeared on walls and pavements.

    This x100

Given that there is now a ceasefire in Gaza and the UN has just approved a 20-point peace plan, some here are resorting to batshit crazy websites and stories to have a dig at Israel.

Hamas opposes the plan, surprise surprise.

Again, the Palestinians on the wrong side of history.

Again the lazy comparisons between Hamas and the Palestinians. Those who supported the killing of civilians in Gaza under the umbrella of human shields are already on the wrong side of history. Yet they still post here.

The thing is that there's at least a grain of truth to it.

Israel in the past has removed organs from the bodies of Palestinian prisoners and used them in Israel.

That doesn't mean that this is true. But it does make it easier to believe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,280 ✭✭✭dmcdona

Israel opposes the plan too, surprise surprise.

Israel has been on the wrong side of humanity for decades - let's see what the ICJ rules on the Gaza Genocide then we'll see who is also on the wrong side of history.

    https://euromedmonitor.org/en/article/5982/Int%E2%80%99l-committee-must-investigate-Israel%E2%80%99s-holding-of-dead-bodies-in-Gaza%E2%80%8B

There have been reports in recent years of the unlawful use of Palestinian corpses held by Israel, including the theft of organs and their use in Israeli university medical school labs.

Israeli doctor Meira Weiss disclosed in her book Over Their Dead Bodies that organs taken from dead Palestinians were utilised in medical research at Israeli universities’ medical faculties and were transplanted into Jewish-Israeli patients’ bodies. Even more concerning are admissions made by Yehuda Hess, the former director of Israel’s Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine, about the theft of human tissues, organs, and skin from dead Palestinians over a period of time without their relatives’ knowledge or approval.

Israel is thought to be the biggest hub for the illegal global trade in human organs, according to a 2008 investigation by the American CNN network, which also revealed that Israel participated in the theft of organs from dead Palestinians for illegal use.

Euro-Med Monitor confirmed that Israel is the only country that systematically holds the dead bodies of those it kills, and is classified as one of the world’s biggest hubs for the illegal trade of human organs under the pretext of “security deterrence” and in total violation of international charters and agreements.

Like any other country, Israel must abide by the rules of international law, which stipulate the necessity of respecting and protecting the bodies of the dead during armed conflicts. The Fourth Geneva Convention stresses that, “Each party to the conflict must take all possible measures to prevent the dead from being despoiled. Mutilation of dead bodies is prohibited.”

Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor also confirmed that refusing to hand over the bodies of the dead so their grieving families can bury them with dignity and in accordance with their religious beliefs may amount to collective punishment, which is strictly prohibited in Article 50 of the Hague Regulations and Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
