Who's on your wishlist the first announcement? I'd deffo take Massive Attack but feels like too big a name?

Joy Orbison, Ben UFO and Four Tet have all played before - would be great to get any of them back. Marie Davidson or Soichi Terada as well.

The likes of Sally C, Saoirse, Dart, Kelly Anne Byrne would be nice.

I have somehow not managed to see Gurriers yet so having them back would be nice. For Those I Love would be another nice one to see back at BTP again. As would more old-school rap - Melle Mel was much enjoyed last year.

Mount Kimbie on the main stage would be a dream booking.

Kolsch, Special Request, Paul Kalkbrenner, Ben Klock, Kink….

Cliffords, Dug, Hotgirl were great at ATN and would like to see them again.

Could you say their booking policy has changed with the added investment compared to previous years? edit - I just sussed who you're referring to, surely not.

Chasing...Abbey? (The musings have me driven mad)

    From their Insta:

    Caribou, Soulwax, Father John Misty

They’re joined by a massive first wave, including Honey Dijon, Of Monsters & Men, BIIRD, Groove Armada (DJ set), Sister Sledge, Kojaque, Moodymann, Claptone, 2manyDjs, Princess Nokia and more…

    That is seriously impressive!

Really liking the look of this. I was on the fence after last years uncertainty, but could be easily swayed again

nothing that exciting on it. Deffo targeting the over 30’s

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,664 ✭✭✭showpony1

any danger of it being called off?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 136 ✭✭DaSchmo

That's quite an evolution of line up from the techno heavy headliner and 2nd tier of first couple of festivals they put on. Reads like a completely different booker was in charge. Not as much my cup of tea this time round.

Class lineup in fairness, banging techno again from Sama' Abdulhadi on the Sunday hopefully, although I could her "upgraded" tent or main stage.

Definitely seems to be different bookers than previous years. Glad to see Sama back but other than that there's a serious lack of contemporary electronic music. May still go but defo hoping for more additions - perhaps in the line of Joy O, Floating Points, Ben UFO, Panda Bear, Fcukers, Call Super, Igloohost

There is certainly still plenty to keep many electronic music fans happy though, right? Moodyman, Sabres, Kormac etc.

I'm still hoping we'll get the Saturday night techno tent courtesy of Subject with a big name headlining it.

And agreed that the DJ line-up needs the variety that some of the names on your list would bring.

Im closer to 50 and this looks like an AI booking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,104 ✭✭✭Fanirish

ha I was trying to be generous with target age

Ooh. Not for me at all at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,104 ✭✭✭Fanirish

the examinership forecast the submitted had it barely making money in 2026 and that was some extreme sponsorship income projections.

Depends how much new owners wanna throw towards it. Think the forecast has costs of €3.5m for 2026. If ticket sales don’t materalise then it’s a massive amount for investors to stump up

Is Caribou a risky headline act given how often they've played here recently?

I'll happily dance along - they're a super act but I guess they need the headliners to pull in the punters…

Strong off the blocks with today's announcement. Each year they are selling more and more tickets and they are well overdue a scorcher of a weekend 😎 Wishing them every success, as it's too good to lose.

Not enough to sway me from going to Primavera Porto. Gotta get booking.

    Wish them well though.
