I have seen threads with maybe 3 or 4 posts and the bouncing is all over the place.

Still have the errant cursor destroying posts .

And have one constant ghost notification no matter how many times I have " marked all as read " or refreshed .

    This for Halloween? 👀👻

A lot of the threads now seem to think I've read all the posts even if I've only opened the first page. I only realise I've missed loads of posts of I see something quoted that I know I haven't read previously.

Liveline and the weather graphics threads are just two but there are others.

On the opposite side the Amazon thread keeps bringing be back to the start of the page even though I've already read it 🤷‍♀️.

Odd time last night now every refresh is a 50/50 chance of getting the notification icon - or not.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Takes a few refreshes for my icons to reappear.

    Brave, Android, Mobile

Getting the 'Something has gone wrong' error (as above) nearly every time I click the star icon to go to my Bookmarks.

Also get an error when I try to bookmark a thread.

    A big PITA.

Edit: have now pasted in Mike's tag from smuggler's reply below.

Reminds me - I got that exact same message trying to ban a temu twat this morning, I just kept hitting the ban button the 10 or 12 times I have to and it eventually banned them

Seems to be working for me now. I can get to my bookmarks, and can bookmark/un-bookmark a thread again.

I cleared cookies, maybe that did it.

'My posts' link on my profile page stopped working for a couple of days. It's working again but all my recent posts have gone missing.

Most recent post now shows as Aug 28th 2025. I have posted every day on some or other forums, mostly the weather forum.

    Anyone else have this issue?

I've a big discrepancy between the unread notifications on the mobile and those on desktop.

    Mobile:

    Desktop:

@New Home That is because when you use 'mark all read' on desktop, you also need to do the same on mobile, otherwise you see the same notifications and they just build up.

I've never had to do that (that is, I clicked on it accidentally in the past). Up until today, the mobile number matched the desktop number. To reset both, I just had to hover over the bell symbol on the mobile (didn't work on the desktop), refresh the page and the counter would be reset to zero for both.

And on the "Reactions" page on desktop (Firefox) the buttons to move to the next page have disappeared.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,451 ✭✭✭smuggler.ie

em, no it hasn't, but from my view you have only two pages.
Perhaps in your view you have only one, hence no button…
    fun

I think this was discussed before, edit manually the URL and you get there

Today attempted to read some on the mobile …

When site claim they "value your privacy" and they more/less genuinely intend, i would expect to see list of all £$%^&'ers that want my data and nice button to "decline ALL", not like scroll through 500 boxes to tick for each £$%^&'er to decline.

    well done boards, well done.

    mobile browser closed

Edit: my bad, apparently 1538 £$%^&'ers

I'm not sure if this is a bug or by design, but yhe fact that when you comment on a thread you automatically follow it, but if you create a thread you don't is very very dumb.

That is annoying, I have noticed that myself, it sorts of encourages you to actually make another post in the thread you created.

Don't think I can patch it with my extension to provide this code on a new discussion. Would need me to create threads to test it to do so. No test forum any more.

    <input type="checkbox" id="Form_Bookmarked" name="Bookmarked" value="1" checked="checked" class="">

It is a catch 22 situation the thread needs to exist to bookmark it.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
