    It's an absolute disgrace that Kieran Cuddihy is earning €230,000. I've(just about tolerated) listened to his show on Newstalk, he's a smug, self righteous, woke yolk. Thinks he knows it all.

    Why are RTE continuing to pay ludicrous salaries when they're haemorrhaging money, left, right and centre? Who was lining up to secure his "talent" for his next contract? NOBODY!

    RTE are perpetually bailed out by the taxpayer with the TV licence fee(FORCED on us by the government). Remove that safety net, and they'd be slapped into reality in no time, whatsoever. As long as we're compelled "by law", these leeches think they can do whatever they like.

    And are you telling me there's no talented, qualified Irish person, who wouldn't accept half that money for working less than 10 hours a week? Pfft!

    It's actually worse than that, caller.

    The management of RTE have decided he will be a staff member on that money (as well as pension contributions etc.) He's set for life whether he succeeds or not.

    Too big to fail! You pay for it!
