I was pretty glued to this trailer. No doubt Seehorn will deliver too.

This is out today on Apple TV reading on Reddit the Apple TV app crashed out for a lot of viewers during the first episode. Trying to avoid spoilers but one of the best pilots ever, sets expectations high

Only watched the first episode this morning.. was very good although a "sci-fi masterpiece" might be pushing it.

Like any good pilot, I'd more questions than anything at the end of it.

Looking forward to episode 2 this evening.

Agree it was a solid first episode that borrows a lot from a couple of movies and I suppose a play on real life events.

Hopefully it gets Rhea an Emmy as she fully deserved one for Better Call Saul.

    Will watch episode 2 later

Well finished the 2nd episode and really enjoyed it, and i think you really need to watch both episodes as the first episode covers how it all goes down and the second covers the philosophical side of the situation Carol finds herself in.

Rhea Seehorn was fantastic in that second episode!

Just watched Episode 1 and thought that was pretty spectacular. Don't have it in me to go to bed without watching episode 2 so getting stuck in now.

    Ms

I watched both episodes of this yesterday evening. It was ok nothing spectacular or new really. How do they know she was the most miserable person on Earth. I somehow think there might have been other people more miserable than her.

We have had this before wasn't there a show out last year with the hospital and all where the world went like this just slightly different. I forget the name of it.

I did love when your one said oh he the 6th person that is had ordered a special plane and it took a little longer to aquire and straight away before it had even come on screen I had guessed what it was lol.

I also noticed a mistake. When asked how many people died in the Alien or whatever it is takeover she said 878,754, 000 something million. Then the other women said so 11 million people have died then which was way off.

Also I did not see the point in rushing the first two episodes because they felt rushed to me. They have the whole season to set how whatever it is takes over and do in one episode. Seems stupid.

Also what was the point in showing the scientists at the beginning if we never see them again. What a waste.

So far only its only an average show. 5 out of 10 from me.

Maybe it will get better. Will watch and see.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Only got through the (excellent) first episode last night, but man Vince Gilligan and co really do prove how good and distinctive a TV show can look. Stunning cinematography throughout, with wholly imaginative framing choices that make full use out of the whole image depth (lots of interesting things going on in the background of shots).

Rhea Seehorn in BCS was one of the greatest TV performances of all time, and first episode suggests she’ll likely deliver once again.

Then the other women said so 11 million people

That was the 2nd time digging the grave

Could be recalling wrong, but wasn't it 878 million died in total but Carol's outbursts alone contributed to 11 million.

Yeah, the 11 million was down to Carol causing them to blank out the first time by shouting at Zosia the pirate lady. Poor Carol was asking her afterwards in the garden was it "hundreds?? thousands??" that had died due to her.... a wee bit more hi.

Loving this. Right mix of sci-fi, apocalypse and black humour. Plot has tons of potential. They can take this anywhere.

Always loved Kim (Rhea). My wife who is by no means a sci-fi head loves it too and that makes it even better. Bring it on.

Thats true. Amazing how many plots have a contamination happening with the most serious sh1t ever and first thing that happens a co-worker brings the contaminated person out cos ah sure he\she is my buddy, to hell with the rest f the world. Or like you have a bunker with quadruple multi ton steel doors with suction 2 miles under ground and everything but the first mouse slips out no bother.

    Is it next Friday yet?

Some complaining it’s derivative. M’eh. Really enjoying it.

Complaining is a sport for too many people these days.

Haven't decided to watch it yet but is it just a remake/rehash of Body Snatchers?

    No

It's a hive mind vs non-infected people thing, yes, but in a different form. The hive mind is not hostile or aggressive, quite the opposite, and there is no hiding for the non-infected. If there is going to be a conflict it'll be more on a philosophical debate rather than a violent level I would say.

The way this comes across so far there is going to be a strong black humour, satirical aspect to this. The happy, blissful, annoyingly cheerful (and boring) hive mind vs the lonely cynic who's got the moral upper hand. I think the idea is great and has loads of potential. The writer can take this anywhere.

I'm not huge into sci-fi or zombies stuff, but thought this was great. I just watched episode 1. Looking forward to episode 2.

Why are the "joined" so willing to prostitute themselves?

That anger response is serious flaw.
