iPhone 17 pro - Carplay issues

    I am at my wits end with my new iPhone 17 pro. I am having constant issues using it for CarPlay in my Volkswagen ID.4 (which is updated to the latest firmware). I have updated my phone to IOS 26.0.1 and this week to 26.1, but it continues to disconnect while using Carplay. Anyone here had a similar experience? My 15 pro worked perfectly. Any input is much appreciated. Lots of suggestions on the Apple discussion boards, but no solutions.

    are you connecting wirelessly or via a cable?

    Try turning off the carplay widgets in you phones carplay settings. Also try resetting the cars infotainment system. Connecting via a cable may also i prove things.

    Thank you so much. I've done that (removed the widgets and re-booted the car's infotainment system). So far, it's working properly. I very much appreciate your help.

    Forgetting the car in your carplay settings and reconnecting can also help this. It might also be conflicting with your older phone so make sure to delete that in the car.
