Do you cook with garlic paste? Or always mince your own garlic?

    I'd been buying paste in the Asian store, but recently realized it has some additives which may not be ideal.

    Is it preferred to mince your own garlic when making stir fries, sauces, and using garlic as an ingredient?

    Or is the paste just as good?
