Noticed the same on a Patriots game a few weeks back, might have been Steelers @Patriots iirc.

Some collapse but you have to hand it to Flacco as well. Superb.

    [edit - Oh dear]

LOL.. Bengals. Some finish. Could the Bears find a way to lose from here?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,159 ✭✭✭Liamalone

Still thought the Bears were gonna blow it after somehow rescuing it.

They improved the audio in the 2nd half, but still not good enough. Stadium noise was still very muted.

I'm watching the colts game highlights now and it's the same. Both are CBS, not sure if that matters. I'll see how it compares to an NBC game.

If you stream the games from other providers the stadium is electric! Last night the stream I used was from CTV (Canadian) and the stadium noise was electric, as you would expect for an NFL game.

Sky have really borked the audio, presumably on purpose. Maybe the stadium is too noisy for the British viewer. Or maybe they're using audio configuration from football (soccer). It really does take a lot of the excitement out of the game.

Bears a half a game away from being tied at the top of the division. I think they are going to get better as the season goes on.

I said I expected McDaniel to get the boot after last week but he hasn't. I never rated him, he had a top class team and couldn't beat a good team.

He's only the second worst coach in the league in my opinion. Raheem Morris is totally clueless. He's got a team who should be top of their division and Superbowl contenders but they are 3-5.

They lost 30-0 to the Panthers and 34-10 to the Dolphins. How Morris still has a job I don't know.

Jets trading Sauce to Indy for 2 first rounders.

I don't think Sauce is worth 2 firsts, definitely not considering you're not getting much of his rookie contract and will have to give him a big contract in a few months.

I don't think anybody outside of a QB is worth two first rounders.

Jets are also trading Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys for a first and a second.

To get 3 firsts and 1 second for those two players is great work. If only they knew how to draft.

The Jets are stockpiling. Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys for a 2026 2nd and a 2027 1st.

Jets gave him a massive contract in the summer.

I also don't think the Colts are a CB away from being a legit contender.

They know how to draft, just look at all the quality players they've traded away. It's what they do afterwards with them that's the issue (thankfully)

Oh man, Cowboy's defensive end Marshawn Kneeland has died, aged 24. He just played Monday night against the Cardinals and recovered a blocked punt to score a touchdown.

    Just seen this stat,

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is 45-31-1 with Joe Burrow and 9-28 without him.

The thing that shocked me about that statement is that Burrow has played 77 games and missed 37 since he came into the NFL.

Bears giants is interesting because neither team are willing to try a field goal in the swirling wind so it's pretty much a four down game any time you're in the other teams half.

Interesting, by the way, doesn't mean good.

Ref was comically inept at the end in Germany. Called for a 10 second runoff for grounding saying Atlanta had no timeouts to prevent it (they had 2). Then said this ended the game, but actually still a second left after the runoff and the game was tied, so not over.

Then as a cherry on top declared Indy the visitors at the OT Coin Toss, so the toss had to be redone during the commercial break.

The giants pissed away that game against the bears.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,159 ✭✭✭Liamalone

The shanked punt for the Giants to set up the final Bears TD drive was a big help.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,375 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

I think the way Williams was playing at that stage we would have gone up the field with it without the punt, but Jesus the Giants really did sh1te the togs altogether.

Matthew Stafford is surely the consensus MVP at this point?

What an incredible season he's having. Would love for him to win it.

Basically joint fav at 3/1 with Drake Maye.

I'd guess the remaining schedule might be factor. Patriots is a little soft, while Rams still have 2 x Seattle, Lions, Bucs.
Winning your Division seems to be a minimum requirement for MVP, and Patriots are more likely to do so (Rams are actually currently second).

Eagles 10-7, was 0-0 at halftime. Eagles stay tied atop the conference, Packers fall to third in their division a half game back of the Lions and Bears.

Was a bad game by both teams and both will have much better days out than that before we're done. The eagles deserved the win, Packers offense made some poor decisions all game and lost didn't look properly tuned in. Still not sure why they went for the field goal at the end when it was blatantly too long the first time they tried. Should have just gone for the hail Mary at that stage.

Still think the Lions are the team to beat in the NFC North so it's fitting they're in the lead now. The bears are a bit flattered by the recent schedule so it'll be interesting in the next few weeks as their upcoming games are much tougher. Can't see the Packers performing like tonight too often. Overall I think the division is a bit overrated right now though, but still think the Lions will beat the eagles next week. They looked so strong on Sunday against the commanders, the offense is a bit of a machine.

Most of the way through the replay of Eagles v Packers. Presumed from looking at the score this morning that the fault would be the offensive playcalling by the Eagles OC, which has been shocking all season. It's still not great in this game, but really both teams just look like they've had strong defensive performances throughout the game.

Eagles OC playcalling is generally horrible though. It was clear very early in the season that the O-line is not as effective at creating gaps for Saquon as they were last season, and defenses are wrapping him up very quickly. Yet even with 3rd & Longs, still trying to just run Saquon up the middle.
