And everyone on here said they wouldn't. I dont think people have realised the increased demand for big gigs post covid tbh.

    I know sure 😂

I only paid 30 euro thankfully to be let in, but it was more the principle of it that bothered me more than anything, it happened to anyone who went and got a physical ticket basically, you'd have thought they'd have anticipated it,

Other than that they were bloody brilliant they had the place bouncing from start to finish, felt bad for the security they were struggling to cope with all the crowd surfing and people getting crushed

sounds like they should of reissued physical tickets for 3 arena but didn’t and then blamed you and others for their mess up. Incompetence on their side in all aspects.

Thats shameful treatment, really really poor.

Does anyone have any cop on anymore, the event wasnt anywhere near sold out, they should have used some common sense.

The level of customer service in all businesses since Covid is just appalling.

Its pure greed on the part of the Promoter too, upgrading the venue and changing the date and also increasing prices, then expecting people to pay more than double for entry.

Wish it was never moved from the national stadium! Was one of the lucky ones with a standing ticket and all.

What nonsense are you on about? How is it greedy to upgrade a show so a few more thousand people can go and moving it all of one day from a Friday to a Saturday cause 3 arena was booked out on original stadium date. Thats the best possible option and least inconvenient date change ever.

as for the price increase as previously explained the 3 arena is far more expensive to use than national stadium. The artist/promoter aren’t going to lose money on a 3 arena show. The only option is an increase on the additional tickets.

If they had cancelled all the original national stadium tickets and made everyone buy more expensive tickets then there would be legit beef.

Turnstile were fantastic last night, never seen a crowd bounce for 90 mins.

    They’ll be back for sure.

It actually properly annoyed me in the moment, they could see from my ticket which was physical ( I think this caused a lot of the confusion) that I bought it in the presale and all, they told me they refunded me and all this nonsense I proved with my banking and correspondence that it just wasn't true at all, I could go on my app and list/transfer they went having it, they knew they fxcked up because there was a queue behind me with the same issue,

I brought up that this wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't moved it to the 3arena to make more money and that this happens all the time you'd see a comedian or something book the Olympia for example and the demand moves them to the 3 or some cases they downsize the venue,

Genuinely think the physical ticket aspect caught them off guard, but yeah the customer service was just so poor, the security could see that I was in the right but they actually took the ticket off me Ticketmaster and just put pen through the bar codes etc so I couldn't get in,

It was a class concert but Jesus the customer service was a disgrace I wasnt the only one

I know there were rumours about Longitude going back to the Indie Rock side next year but in a dream world I'd love to see them do a mix of a sunstroke/indie/rock festival with a decent mix of rock(maybe a hint of metal), kinda like Rock Am Ring type of thing. Will it happen probably note but I can dream :)

I am going to see Saxon on Wednesday in the Olympia and I was wondering if there be merchandise stands at the Olympia and if so, does anyone know where it would be located?

You're right to have been annoyed. You seem far more zen about it now than I would be!

That's disgraceful, I hope you keep chasing them and get a refund at the very, very least. You should be getting something for all the hassle too.

Would make a million times more sense to go back to closer to what it was when it started at least. Young people are into indie music these days.

The 2014 lineup holds up very well today

If there’s any fans of The Neighbourhood, they’re announcing a tour tomorrow, Amsterdam, Berlin & London will be stops for it.

Was it sold out? Would the option be there to buy another ticket regardless?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,009 ✭✭✭Duffy98

They made me buy Another there and then to be able to go into the 3arena

You should be able to get a refund with proof of both tickets. Ive had some run ins with ticketmaster and to be fair if they are genuinely on the wrong, Ive usually had the right outcome

OMD are gradually announcing UK dates. So far, dates in Bristol on June 26th and York on 9th July places them squarely within the Trinity schedule.

Papa Roach be over this neck of the woods for festivals

Wouldn't it be awesome if they played a gig here, national stadium, Academy or maybe Olympia (with good support)

If Jimmy Eat World, Coheed and Cambria and the likes can play here why not
