Boards weather forecast contest for November 2025

    1. Predict the IMT (average mean temp for five locations, Claremorris, Mullingar, Casement, Oak Park and Shannon) for November 2025. The 1991-2020 average is 7.4.
    2. Predict the MAX temp at any of the 25 official locations listed daily on the met-ie website.
    3. Predict the MIN (details same as above)
    4. Predict the PRC (percentage of normal rainfall at eleven locations including the five in part one above and also Malin, Belmullet, Ballyhaise, Johnstown, Cork and Valentia.)
    5. Predict the SUN (percentage of normal at six locations around Ireland).
    6. BONUS _ Predict the lowest daily maximum temperature in Nov 2025 at any of the 25 regular reporting sites on the met-ie website. No date or location needed.

    So if anyone is as out of touch with Boards current events as myself, I just learned with some relief that Boards will not be closing down for at least the next 12-14 months according to their management team, so that cancels out any urgent requirements to look around for the contest and the rest of the weather forum somewhere else in cyberspace at some near-future time.

    Just an administrative note, I overlooked a (-1) late penalty on the entry from Kindred Spirit and the reason for that was, I was still on daylight saving time to Sunday 3rd and did not do the time conversion correctly to establish who was significantly later than 0300h. We are now also on regular winter time here, they just extend it one or two weeks longer and start into it earlier also in N America.

    IMT 11.7 C (3.3 above normal)

    MAX 17.5 C

    MIN 0.2 C

    PRC 152% of normal

    SUN 78% of normal

    low max _ coming later pretty sure

    IMT on 10.5 (2.5 above normal for 1-14 Nov) _ second week average 9.3 (1.6 above normal)

    MAX 17.5

    MIN 0.2

    PRC 215% of normal _ second week average 277% of normal

    SUN 88% of normal _ second week average 97% of normal

    low max to date 6.5 C on 14th at Knock.
