    Hi all

I am in the market for a new 55" TV.

I previously bought a Philips 55PUS6754 from you guys and love the ambilight but the picture quality is not so good at this point.

I also have a LG OLED65CX5LB and love the picture quality.

It could be my imagination but I feel when the ambilight is switched on on my current tv, the resolution on the tv dims, as if to compensate. Would this be the case?

I was looking online and saw you have a Philips 55OLED760 with ambilight. How would this tv compare against the LG OLED55C54LA, also online? How would both compare with my current Philips 55PUS6754?

    Hi SmoosBoo.

    Thanks for the post.

The Ambi light should not affect the image on the TV.
I wouldn't have thought it would dim the picture to be honest.
We have a Philips Ambi light on demo here at the store and when you switch the Ambi light on and off there is no difference to the picture.

The Philips 55OLED760 is fantastic but the LG 55C54 is the better television and give better image quality.
Both of the these are far superior to the 55PUS6754 which is standard LED.

The 55C54 at £1149 is a great deal

    Thanks Kenny,

I appreciate your feedback. Does the LG OLED55C54LA come with the RS 6 year guarantee?

I tried to buy online but there was an issue. I'll PM you.
