You can clearly see the Islamophobia on social media in Ireland too. It is there all along and it wouldn't surprise me that many are paid for it.

Wouldn’t be surprised either and keep a close watch to see if there is an increase as ‘certain’ countries are about to ramp up on it. Seems that they hire a lot in India.

VICTORY: The First Circuit just ruled that pro-Palestinian slogans, encampments and criticism of Zionism is protected by the First Amendment -- tossing out a Zionist complaint targeting pro-Palestinian organizing at @mit !

Small victory but a victory nonetheless

Colonists on the rampage again -

"Over 20 masked settlers attacked Palestinians and human rights activists in the Bedouin community of Mukhmas, southeast of Ramallah in the West Bank."

Remember when Israel lost its sh*t when two IDF soldiers were killed? Four Palestinians executed in 48 hrs and 93 total killed since the start of the ceasefire = tumbleweed.

US monitoring IDF by drone now - penny has dropped that they are inveterate liars.

The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said 19 bodies arrived at hospitals over the previous 48 hours – four killed by Israeli fire during that time and 15 recovered from beneath rubble.

According to the ministry, since the cease-fire started two weeks ago, 93 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and hundreds of bodies have been recovered, bringing the total death toll in Gaza since the war began to 68,519.

The New York Times reported that the U.S. has recently begun using drones to monitor ground activity in Gaza and ensure the cease-fire is upheld. The report cited two Israeli officials and a U.S. official as saying Israel has agreed to the monitoring and that the observation is part of the activities of the newly founded Civilian-Military Coordination Center, located in southern Israel. A former U.S. diplomat and several Israeli officials said they were surprised by the monitoring of IDF activity, according to the report.

Settlers gonna settle - except it's not just settlers - Israelis are now acting like militias with the apparent blessing of the Govt.

Over 20 masked settlers attacked Palestinians and human rights activists in the Bedouin community of Mukhmas, southeast of Ramallah in the West Bank. According to the activists, the settlers opened fire on them and set fire to multiple structures on the site. They said two activists sustained head wounds when they were beaten with clubs. Three Palestinians were wounded.

Palestinians reported Israeli settlers setting fire to vehicles near homes close to West Bank villages near Ramallah overnight into Saturday, with video from the villages of Al-Mu'ayer and Abu Falah showing Palestinians gathering on a hill, attempting to chase off the arsonists, while flares are visible in the background.

"Every place has its own characteristic type of violence.

Here in the West Bank, Israeli violence is carried out in concert by all forces present – whether those of the army, police, Border Police, Shin Bet security service, Israel Prisons Service or settlement security coordinators, and of course, Israeli civilians.

And often, these civilians carry sticks, metal pipes and stones, while others are armed with firearms.

Militias operating outside of the law but within its embrace"

Just in case anyone is counting - here's another opinion piece on precisely what alleged War Criminal #1 (at large) has achieved.

"After two years of saying no, no, no, of prolonging the war and refusing to undertake any political initiative regarding Gaza's future, Netanyahu has managed to internationalize the conflict.

Today, we've got the Qataris and the Turks, the Palestinian Authority and even Hamas governing the enclave.

Representatives from Britain, Germany, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan are also resident at the American command center in southern Israel"

I posted after you but I have a good opinion piece on the general notion that there are now "Israeli militias" acting outside the law - not just Settlers.

More collective punishment by Israel - another War Crime of course:

The WHO has called for numbers of medical evacuations to be rapidly increased to deal with the thousands of cases of sick and wounded. It wants to be able to bring out patients through Gaza's Rafah border crossing with Egypt as it has done previously.

However, Israel has said it is keeping the crossing closed until Hamas "fulfils" its commitments under the terms of the Gaza ceasefire deal by returning the bodies of deceased hostages. Israel has kept the Gaza side of the Egyptian border closed since May 2024 when it took control during the war.

Given the images, films and documentary evidence used in the Nuremberg trials, particularly of the Concentration Camps, I wonder how the Israeli Genocide of Gaza will compare with the slew of video and social media posts?

Looks like a film worth watching.

"The graphic film of the camps was a turning point in the trial, bringing the horror of the Holocaust directly into the courtroom. "Eisenhower had insisted that the camps be filmed," Dr Thomas Schwartz, professor of history at Vanderbilt University, tells the BBC, speaking of the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe. "And the Russians made films, too. These were extraordinarily effective in conveying the true scale of the crimes." "

Sebastian Dangerfield put it this way to Miss Frost in The Ginger Man:

Two hundred and fifty quids. The quids, Lilly. Quids. Always watch the quids, Lilly. I don't say they mean everything, but watch them.

In the case of Orange Man such considerations apply with knobs on as his friends in Araby know so well.

This thread is losing all credibility, seems it’s just a dumping ground for spurious propaganda.

Not credible with numerous posts (six in a row) all just firing out questionable content.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,645 ✭✭✭dePeatrick

pity it’s not on a public forum where you could question the content!

So, Haaretz just pumps out propaganda and questionable content? Seems you just don't like the message nor the truth.

But if you think the thread is such a dumping ground, perhaps you'd be better off somewhere else?

I’m not sure this thread ever had much credibility.

It’s like an echo chamber of lads trying to one-up each other about how much they hate Israel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,238 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

Yes, it would appear that way.

Maybe the penny will drop and the auld mantra of ‘less is more’ might finally hit them.

Anyway nowt we can do except highlight the issue.

Nothing you can do. Genocide apologists have thrown everything at this thread for 2 years. Where are we now? Even the Americans are sick of Israeli lies.

I'm no fan of Trump and his administration but it's great to see them keeping an eye on Israel and making sure they're doing what they're told.

It's not as if you add anything to it. Coming in and stating that you are neutral and then being found out is very questionable especially as you have added the sum of nothing to the pro-Israeli side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,238 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

Very harsh criticism mr Tee. Very harsh indeed.

A case of the truth hurts BB?

Seems your only recent contribution is to count posts and bemoan the thread in general because somehow it doesn't meet your needs. And yet, you're still here - adding nothing of value really. Maybe take a break?

Israel has lost all credibility among those who used to hold out that it was defending itself. Now it is widely acknowledged as the second genocide - 80 years after the first, the holocaust.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,156 ✭✭✭wildgreen

The pro-Israeli side … is that Israel is a supremacist race and has the right to exterminate muslims and arabs. He has managed to illustrate that but would have been better to try to hide it. Israel has never been shy about saying what it thinks and doing what it says. It is time the West believed what they say and stopped them.

    The odd Judge

    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20251026-a-rogue-state-is-backed-only-by-rogues/

In the Court’s advisory opinion of 19 July 2024 on the legal consequences of Israel’s policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, Sebutinde described the territory as “disputed” rather than occupied, questioning whether a Palestinian people or a country named Palestine even existed.

She relied on biblical and Talmudic narratives, even incorporating discredited quotations from Zionist sources, in breach of the most basic standards of academic integrity.

This time, after facing widespread criticism, particularly following a speech she delivered on 10 August 2025 at a Ugandan church, in which she declared, “The Lord is counting on me to stand on the side of Israel…”—Sebutinde adopted two starkly contradictory positions in the Court’s latest advisory opinion.

Although she joined her fellow judges in affirming Israel’s obligations to abide by the international law and permit the regular flow of humanitarian aid, she rejected all recommendations demanding that Israel cooperate with UN agencies responsible for the delivery of aid, to allow them to open offices, and respect the legal immunities of their staff.

Gaza is now an Israeli dumping ground:

The IDF has been dumping large amounts of waste, rubble and construction debris into Gaza from the Israeli side of the border, according to information and footage obtained by Haaretz.

IDF sources told Haaretz that commanders in the field decided to dispose of the waste inside the Strip, with one saying orders were given to allow trucks owned by private Israeli companies to enter Gaza and dump their loads wherever they saw fit.
