Just a general thread for all CX discussion this season, covers both local and non local races.

To start it off, anyone going to Dungarvan next weekend?

It all kicks off for me next week with the first round of the Superprestige series .This year puts me close to an hour from two world cup series events, the world championships, 3 super prestige events and a host of Belgian series events.

I will also point out that cycling to a train station or bus stop will be the limit of my active involvement this year.

The first round of the domestic national series in Belfast was a superbly run event; VC Glendale put on a great show, big numbers in most grades -- although the junior grade was a bit light-- nevertheless the standard of the younger riders is phenomenal with many of them riding faster laps than the Elite and Masters in their races. Richard Barry and Doireann Killeen won the main events on the day.

Won't be in dungarvan but hoping to be in Mulllingar. Will have to see how things pan out this week mind. I've not touched the CX bike at all yet so will be interesting if I do go.

Anyone know anything about the Dungarvan course?

Can't make Dungarvan (though it'd only be as a spectator) I think - young lad has a match up in Thurles. Is there a combined calendar for the various local events anywhere?

On the Belgian front, this seems to be a handy website for links to pages and TV coverage https://rijden.uk/blog/cyclocross-on-tv/ Exact Cross in Essen on Saturday and Superprestige first round on Sunday. Both on Sporza by the looks

This time of year is where not having Discovery plus will hit!

Love watching all the various CX races in Belgium, guess I will have to go down the VPN route this year 😩

Same. CX was the main reason I was happy to fork out for an annual sub to Eurosport, CGN and then Discovery. Couldn't be arsed messing around trying to figure out VPN options to be honest. I'm not a tech savvy head so by the time I'd mastered it they'd probably have moved the goalposts again.

The sport has just lost one set of eyes.

Expand your language skills. I now know what "Slapkammer" and "Badkammer" mean after last year 🤣

I'm not too badly off as I have TNT Sports, who show most of the World cups and some Superprestige races,

But won't be showing any of the Exactcross or X20 Trofee races, which are usually the most exciting races anyway.

Any good YouTube recap channels for CX?

That's a superb site, thanks for posting the link!

As far as I can see, Tiz cover every televised CX race live, and on delay/playback a day or so later.
That's how we'll be watching all cycling here for the foreseeable future, now that D+ have put my UK relative's sub back up to full price, so they're cancelling it, and it's no longer playing nice with my VPN here since the app 'update'.

Well round 1 of Leinster didn’t go at all to plan. Was in the top 10 after the first lap and then a broken mech hanger on the second did it for me. Gutted

Bah, humbug. Most of the Superprestige races have gone behind a pay wall in Belgium this year 😭. Pretty sure they were all on Sporza last year
