2014 Megane 3 help

Hi all

Just got a 2014 Megane 3 1.5 TDI. It's going good so far. But there are a few issues with the audio setup and I think I need to update the radio software. In the settings it says that it's version ""First_3.0.0.24"
By now, there's bound to be some updates available but for the life of me I cannot find them. And to make it harder, it's not one of the newer systems with large screen or touchscreen. The manual, such as it is, says that I can update via USB but I cannot find the necessary files anywhere.

Anyone got ideas/suggestions/help?

The Renault website, numerous forums and Google in general. But the thing is, I'm not sure what to look for. I repair/restore old computers and finding software for those are easy but to me, cars are a dark art! Plus, there are so many dead links in the forums.

Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.

Blanks between tracks even on streaming radio - from what I've read, this is a common fault. After a reset of defaults it worked fine for a while but it came back. Even if the DJ stops talking for a few seconds the radio picks it up as dead air and inserts a blank. I know it's not a major problem but when you are driving for a few hours it's damn annoying.

I'd suggest speaking to a mechanic, or ringing the service dept of a Renault dealer.

Main dealer will probably just tell him to book in for a diagnostic at €120 per hour. Mechanic would have no interest in fixing a radio

I'd start off by buying a cheap second hand radio from a scrapyard and go from there

Ah yes maybe I wasn't clear, I meant asking the mechanic or service dept guy how to upgrade my 2014 Renault Megane radio.

That makes more sense lol..…120 an hour to patch the radio would probably end up costing more than the cars value!

I'll try their webchat tomorrow when I have time and see what they suggest. Was hoping for something like download this file from here and run from USB and boom, job done. Think this was the case but files don't seem to be available anymore.....or just buried.

The audio system in the Mégane 3 is antiquated even by the standard of the time the car first came on the market in 2009. It may not be capable of performing the task you're asking it to - given my limited understanding of these matters.
