Vokera Boiler Water Pressure Alarm

Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice. I have a Vokera Vision Plus 25S which has lately started displaying a high pressure alarm when the heating is on. After 20 minutes or so of use the pressure reading according to the boiler display rises from 3 bar to 4.5 bar which is obviously … alarming.

This is at odds with the mechanical pressure gauge in my hot press which is reading 1.5 bar when system is cold and just under 2 bar when in use. The mechanical pressure gauge attached to the boiler itself is also in line with the hot press gauge. The boiler also isn't dumping any water from the pressure relief valve. When I first start the boiler it takes a good four or five minutes for ignition after the water starts circulating. I also had a low pressure alarm randomly when the boiler was off yesterday (0.5 bar) but I haven't seen that happen again yet.

I'm assuming there might be something wrong with whatever reads the pressure in the boiler? It is covered by warranty so just waiting to hear back. Basically don't want to do any damage to the system in the meantime so any insight is much appreciated.

Have a look at this thread.

Despite the other indicators to the contrary, as a safety precaution I'd work off the basis that the pressure gauge in the boiler is functioning and perhaps the system is over-pressurising. Was any change made recently such as the addition of TRV's or adjustment of the zone valves? Do you know the state of the valves when it reaches the over-pressure error?

    Thanks for the link.

There have been no recent changes. Three additional radiators were added the system over a year ago but it had been working fine all last winter with no issues. The zone valves are open when the error starts appearing if that's what you mean. Error seems to start when the boiler is approaching full temperature.

I've bled water from the system and got it down to just over 1 bar on the mechanical pressure gauges, but same error appears on the boiler.
