Humphries in Finglas are/used to be a Campag EPS approved centre…

    http://humphriescycles.ie/

under components heading , lists it as EPS service centre

Yikes! At the price of a replacement, fingers crossed it can be fixed!

Bike24 are still offering complete eps groupsets at a knockdown price. You'd nearly be as well off to buy a whole new groupset and sell the bits, rather than paying 600 quid for a new rear mech!

It's a bizarre offer in a way. Apparently it doesn't include battery and some other leccy bits but the reviews are also not great.

    Thanks lads

the rear derailleur is not shifting properly had a few bits of advice about doing zero reset etc but i was hoping i could get it checked otherwise like ye said cheaper to buy a gruppo although wont be Campagnolo :)

ah treat yourself to a new wireless groupset! Sure might as well get the power meter while you’re at it! https://www.campagnolo.com/ie-en/super-record-13/

At those prices the smart move is to SRAM surely?

I've yet to meet a bike shop owner that has any love for Campag drivetrains.

History aside - which is too arbitrary and subjective to be that relevant - what is the draw to Campagnolo for an average sport cycling enthusiast?

To my eye at least it doesn't even look particularly appealing.

(faces firing squad and shouts "test!" 😂)

'campagnolo wears in, shimano wears out', i was told once. sounded like the sort of mantra someone repeats to themselves to convince themselves they'd made the right choice.
