Anyone have problems logging into the Foot.ie site over the last few days? As of today it is still down.

Heard any reasons, hope it is only a technical issue, love all the LOI forums!

I haven't on him foot.ie in many years but I remember having some difficulties accessing the site one afternoon. Turned out i was typing feet.ie into the address bar.

Holding page has gone from "I'll fix it (two weeks ago)" to "I want 3k for the domain name" so I think that's it gone.

Great forum back in the day, but has been dying a slow death for the last few years.

I posted alot back in the day but my God there were some amount of gobshites posting there. Its a shame because there were plenty of posters with good, realistic insights, just like everywhere those voices were drowned out.

It was a site run by a lad from Cork and probably peaked when Cork won the league in 2005 so that's probably why my memory of it is saturated by obnoxious Cork fans.

For that reason alone I never trusted the people who ran it. Literally made it impossible to join. If you did not attend college or uni then you just could not post there.

anyway word is the site is dead and dusted

Literally a class system. You had to be posh or have a degree to post on there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 874 ✭✭✭Stewball

Ok that's a bit of an exaggeration.

I'm far from posh and I don't have a degree and I was posting on there since WC2002.

I made good friends on there which I regularly met at away games down the years.

I think the domain site is still up for sale and the owner is still hoping for some investment to upgrade software, but I don't think there was much interest. 🙄

Foot.ie has been replaced with UH... .ie
