This has been in the works for years. Here is an article from 2022 about it. Also, they aren't "getting an airforce base", they are training there alongside airmen from the US and other countries like Singapore who also have a unit there

You are absolutely correct. I am responsible for procurement in an organisation who has a large footprint in the US.

The America first attitude is costing the American economy billions. I can procure the same product in Ireland for a third less than it would cost me in the US. The installation of that product is easily 3x that of Ireland......and as you know Ireland is a famously cheap place to do business.

Whatever about the date, it has some MAGA loyalists pissed. They are realising now, they were used just as bad as his voters were.

They honestly thought he meant American first? It’s always Trump first, always.

Some people made a killing last night. Talk about beginners luck, open an account, put a leveraged short on and hit the jackpot an hour later.

But i thought covid was a hoax, or not serious, or bleach was the cure or whatever...

Wonder how the maga heads will square the circle on that one.

Or it all could be lies, much like the "exceptional health" bit at the end...

    More winning

The Turkeys voted for Christmas and the butcher has the knives sharpened. An economy that was making great strides under Biden, adding 10s of thousands of jobs per month. Now flatlining in the states where most of Trumps votes came from. You just can't fix stupid.

Oh it’s plenty bad, let’s not pretend otherwise. Donnie and much of MAGAworld where all a’twitter with excitement about him winning this year’s Nobel Peace Prize….and then the harsh Sledgehammer Of Reality came and smashed up that silly fantasy. It’s wonderful to behold.

Machado is also being clever and attemping to play Donnie like a fiddle by flattering him. She’s likely calculating that throwing his ego a bone at this time might help her cause. That’s not without precedent either. Unlike grown up politicians who would focus on the details of trade deals and other dry topics, Donnie’s “policy” can be swayed by simply appealing to his fragile little ego. This is why the year has been filled with world leaders nominating that Gigantic Child for the Nobel Peace Prize. They are all playing the nitwit like a fiddle which is one of many reasons why he should never head anything, let alone a large Federal Republic.

How can you get away with something that obvious.

Not sure why this didn't work but was meant to be in reply to bricksters trading link

I had a different question - what does Qatar get out of this? What operations will they run that benefit from staging in Colorado?

FWIW, could one expect the Do[WD] to publish a people describing the reasoning behind this? I'm sure there's local economic benefits, just want to understand why Qatar did this, I'm not sure how active their military is, though they were a big staging and support area for the war against Qaddafi. So, having a big military in a ME location that's fairly safe from invasion sounds sensible, but why Colorado? If the Qataris in Colorado had to support actions back home, that's a long starting flight to get there.

See the article i posted above that shows this has been in the works for a long time. Its common for allies to come to the US and be based at various facilities for training purposes. In this case, apparently Qatar doesn't have the airspace for proper training with these type of planes. I met several British people stationed here at Creech when that was a thing. They were stationed here for a long enough time that their familes came with them, and then they went home. Its a few hundred at most and in no way jeopardizes operations in the home country. Why are people acting like the entire qatari air force is moving to Idaho?

In other news, CFTrump, 2025 Nobel loser, has said he might not meet with Xi in November.

This was after he spouted in October that the meetings were necessary to sell soybeans:

Ignoring the rare earths kerfuffle (I thought the US was going to get those from Ukraine) a few months back the farmer's online magazine was saying the best chance for getting some soybean sales done this year, was if they were agreed to in these meetings. Some background here, I can't find the link to the messaging about the November meetings, that was likely a youtube:

    Oopsies. Maybe that doesn't happen.

Laura Loomer reaches breaking point with Trump and MAGA: ‘I am not voting in 2026’

"Loomer is known to be an outspoken critic of Qatar and has previously celebrated the deaths of drowning migrants in the Mediterranean Sea.The 32-year-old is known to be a close confidante of the president and has become increasingly at loggerheads with members of the MAGA faction, including former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, whom she also criticized for his connections with Qatar."

Looper keeps pushing her mistress status to the very edge but she knows the best way into Trump's head is through his dick, Epstein knew same.

One might suppose a neighbouring country's leadership (Bibi) might look at the arrangement and wonder if it's in it's best interest for Qatar's air force getting good instruction and training on international force cooperation from USAF and combined ground/air defence thousands of miles away where there's little risk of accidental cross-border shoot-downs, just tons of free air space.

Bibi may have blotted his Military copybook with the War Sec's Dept and other US future planners, not just Trump, when he OK'd the attack on Qatar. His people won't be able to mess around or interfere with actual Qatari/U.S training cooperation, though Mossad will get friendly advice on how the training is working out.

I'd imagine that any Qatari military pilots on the training list would be vetted for loyalty to the Qatari regime first in case one goes rogue in U.S airspace.

Republican congressmen are lining up already to smear the no Kings protest next week as a hate America, pro hamas etc violent protest. Watch them use the new directive trump passed where antifa/anti Christian/anti america/anti capitalism groups are to be designated terrorists. They'll have the national guard go after the millions of protests and may even use the "dangerous violent terrorists" as a pretext for Trump to use the insurrection act and thus the final nail in the authoritarian takeover.

Trump in his last term said Qatar were one of the biggest funders of Islamist terrorism. A very principled man indeed 🙄

MAGA firebrands Laura Loomer, Steve Bannon and Max Abrahams criticise Hegseth announcing a Qatari airbase in Idaho.

It raises questions given commercial ties of WH's friends with Qatar.

Breaking on MSNBC: The acting U.S. Attorney in Maryland is moving forward quickly to seek criminal charges against Trump's former national security adviser John Bolton, according to two people familiar with the case.

A complaint or an indictment could come as early as next week.

Kamala Harris was asked if she was surprised at the fact that Trump did everything she warned the nation about.

She said no, but what *did* surprise her, was the capitulation.

It's a f**king disgrace that people are following his orders.

'Something stuck in his head': Zeroing in on Trump's mental decline | Opinion

"Trump is clearly unwell, and people in the White House are manipulating him and making their own power grabs.

Pritzker, Gallego and Dean were right to publicly raise the issue of mental decline. Every Democrat should do exactly that and force the media to put the White House and Trump on the defensive about it."

Damning article on Trump, the guy is nuts and in major decline, Nobel Prize knockback ain't going to help.
